This is a great place to enjoy oriental dining. It is family friendly, and the prices are reasonable. The Mandarin Palace is a local icon, and top rated for take-out. The menu is what you would expect, if you enjoy Chinese dishes, you will see your favorites listed. Here you can expect the quality and taste to be favorable. The dining atmosphere is less than stellar, more relaxed than anything else. But this is a restaurant where you can take the family, order a tasty meal with some appetizers and not worry about breaking the bank or leaving kids with a sitter. If you haven't dined here, you don't live anywhere near Boise. If you come to visit relatives, suggest this diner and surprise everyone with your local savvy.
The shrimp are delightful, and The Great Wall has the best egg-drop soup around, as well as the thickest-stuffed Rangoon. The fried rice is pretty good, and the stir fry is the BEST tasting and the best choice of ingredients around. The one thing that really needs improving is the restroom. It is not in the best shape, is small and smells bad. I keep going back, though, since the food is reliably tasty.
I can't say enough about the awesome food. I was extremely impressed with the cleanliness and reasonable prices. I have marked this restaurant as my regular. Good for the whole family even picky eaters like my son. He loves the orange chicken. Keep up the good work. I travel a lot and you will be pleased here as this is as good as it gets.
