The staff was fantastic, and I was a high maintenance guest this time. I forgot my phone charger and the receptionist helped me find another one. I needed to print a document at the last minute and another receptionist helped me, even though it was morning and she was probably very busy. I asked for instructions on using the waffle iron and the breakfast attendant helped me with that too. I even locked myself out of my room and had to get a key, which was no problem. This hotel is a little farther from the city center (about 4 blocks) than the others, but it is also $50 cheaper. I did not mind walking the 4 blocks, even in the cold. It was a nice walk along the river. The room was clean and comfortable, I had everything I needed and dinner at the restaurant next door was fantastic.

Outstanding service, beautiful place, and SO many amenities too! Stayed two nights midweek. Owners Terry and Eve have been running the Inn since the 80's and built it into the beautiful place it is now. Gardens are beautiful and everything so clean. Terry also provided great advice on restaurants and places to hike and park along the coast. This is a first class operation and very professionally run. Half Moon Bay has become a delightfully charming destination. Great place to stroll around from in Inn. Check out the historic catholic church across the street. From our window, we watched several early morning latino lady visitors pay homage to the statue of the virgin mary.
Absolutely beautiful and amazing views. We loved that it is a smaller and more intimate Ritz. They had a big screen on the lawn in the evening for movie night. It felt like an old time summer resort. Great walking and bike paths along the ocean.
