I always thought that learning martial arts would be fun and interesting. What I didn't realize is that it is also a great workout too! I am a pretty athletic person, but the lessons and classes helped me to get into even better shape. I used to do the gym thing but in all honesty it's pretty boring and there is no real purpose to it. At White Dragon, I'm working out and learning something of value at the same time. I've lost some fat and gained some muscle in the process. I feel fit and can usually run circles around my other friends when doing a local hike or bike ride. They are always commenting that I have great cardio. I credit the training at White Dragon for this. I've been at the school for a few years now and I can't imagine what it would be like without my weekly lesson and classes.
Trust me when I tell you...I've seen tons of boxing and MMA gyms. I'm an amateur fighter, and have gone all over the US to train with the best. Coming out to San Diego every once and a while I always go to The Arena MMA. The guys over there are very skilled at what they do. They have an Olympian on staff, a few pro MMA fighters, and even the ultimate female fighter Cris "Cyborg" Santos. If you have a chance to tour the Arena...do it. You won't be sorry.
Its a great school teaching southern Chinese internal kung fu with herbs, dit dar jow, tea, herbs and much more. there are long fist forms, short fist forms, weapon forms, 2 person forms and a lot of material so you wont be bored at black belt. this is a clean well lit place that teaches individuals well and families and kids too. Everyone has a great time as there is something for everyone.
