I can't tell you how many nail salons I've visited around San Antonio. Some were fair, others...horrible. I gave Hn Nails a try and spoke to the owners, Han and Sam. They told me to come in and take a look at the environment before I had anything done. When I walked in, I was shocked. The front looked like a Day Spa. All of the employees are very nice and make sure every experience you have inside their salon is nothing but the best. Hn Nails is so clean and sanitary that it makes you question other places you've been. When you walk in, it doesn't have that "nail salon" smell... you know...the one that leaves you dizzy when you leave. Most shops don't clean out the filters of the pedicure tubs -one of the many disgusting truths you may or may not know- so you end up getting your feet done in someone's elses "leftovers." Here, you can watch them literally pull the filter apart and disinfect the tub evey time. They sanitize every tool and towel they use on you. To top off the experience...THEY TAKE THEIR TIME!!! They aren't concerned with how many customer's they can get in and out within an hour, but rather, ensure each customer they see receives the quality of work that they pay for. The best pediucure I ever had took 1 1/2 hour. Of course, it was my first time here at Hn Nails. I wouldn't suggest any other place in San Antonio. There isn't one negative thing that I could say about this place. If you want the best of the best without paying hundreds of dollars... I beg you to spare your time and trouble... just go to Hn Nails. They are so friendly and knowledable about every aspect that goes on in their salon and you won't be disappoint... I PROMISE!

I've been to a lot of nail salons. I wore nails for over twenty years, and then five years ago I developed an allergic reaction. So, I tried to find a salon that had quality technicians AND which used quality products. I was so frustrated that I gave up my nails for five years opting instead for a plain manicure. It was OK, but I had to have one every week to maintain a fresh look. And, then one morning sitting at my computer I decided to "Google" it. After all, the computer finds everything else. I typed in, "The best nail salon in San Antonio, TX", and to my great surprise it pulled up H N Nails. I read reviews from people who were specific about their pink and white nails that Honnie did for them. So, I thought why not, and I called and asked for an appointment with her. I had to wait a couple of days to get an appointment with "Honnie" but remember, the good things in life or worth waiting for ... still, for two days I thought (even enroute to the salon which is across town from my home) this is too good to be true. I chided my self thinking it can't be this easy. BOY, was I WRONG. I've had my nails for over a week and they look like they were done yesterday! And, to top it all off the evening at H N Nails was FUN! I met Honnie, her husband, sister, and all the rest. They were friendly, polite and the service was great, but best of all my manicure with Tiffany and my pink and white nails were FABULOUS. Trust me, I actually found the salon with QUALITY TECHNICIANS AND QUALITY PRODUCTS. I am happy to report it really is the BEST NAIL SALON IN THE ALAMO CITY!
I found out about this place from other Yelpers, and boy am I happy that I took their advice. This place is super convenient. I was oblivious to it's existence even though I go to the Dezevala & IH 10 almost every week, but I never think of moseying on over to the University Square (where this little slice of self indulgent heaven is). They accept walk ins which is great because I am horrible at calling ahead when I'm in dire need of a mani/pedi. On the day that I went there was a little bit of a wait but nothing horrible granted that it was a Saturday afternoon and my mom and I were walk-ins. The pedicure was nice and relaxing and although we were originally just going to get pedis we decided to splurge and also try out their shellac nail polish for manis as well. I am officially in love with shellac. They have a ton of colors and walk you through the process if you've never had it done before which is nice. I've had acrylics and I hated how they tore up my nails, with shellac I get the look of the acrylics without having to go through all the pain and hassle of filling them every 2 weeks. PLUS they don't chip! I work in the medical field and am always washing my hands so regular nail polish only lasts 2 days if I'm lucky, so this is my new obsession...and my favorite place to get my fix! I get the french tips in the shellac polish and it runs roughly $30,with mani $40 before tip (for 1 solid color I think I was quoted around $25, with mani $35). I loved this place! they have about 11 techs, they all friendly and helpful. I am highly recommend this place to every one I know
