We saw this restaurant featured on TLC's Best Food Ever Series on the "Sensational Sandwiches" episode and since we were planning on visiting Scottsdale in just a few months from then, we put it on our itinerary. I'm so glad we did! My husband got the Sasquatch Burger - 2 grilled cheese sandwiches made from Texas Toast and in between them, a huge fresh burger with the fixins'. I got the Smokey The Burger and you could taste how fresh the meat and the cheese were. We visited during lunch on a Monday and there was a lot of tables open. They also have a full bar and several beers on tap. Their fries were great and you can choose between regular, sweet potato, or onion rings, which were all tasty. Among the three of us, we got one of each. It seems they have a more happening night life than a lunch crowd so next time we're there, we hope to make it Friday or Saturdays because they have live music most of the time I think. The service was pretty good, drinks didn't go dry and our waitress checked on us several times. You all enjoy!
We were on vacation in Scottsdale and did not know the area. We happen to look up this restaurant on the internet at the hotel.. The hostess met us at the door. She was very friendly and a lot of fun to talk to. The waitress was very bubbly and very knowledgable about wines and the food. The food was excellant. If I would have had room for desert I would have had some of the cake she said was excellent. The place was nicely decorated with murals on the walls that looked like you were in Italy. Well it turns out that the waitress is the owner of the restaurant along with her husband. From talking with them we found out they were from New York. They asked us how we found out about their restaurant and we told them on the internet and they had a good review. The review was true. Great atmosphere, good food and resonable prices. You will love this place and we are going back the next time we go to Scottsdale, AZ
I live in California and take many road trips to Arizona. Never miss a chance to go to Greasewood. What an awesome place. The mountains looking out toward the parking lot on a clear blue sky day (many) is just beautiful. Cold beer, friendly people, good food, country music, a stroll in back past the donkeys and the horses. It's just a perfect place to go with friends for having a few cold ones and talking with some people from all over. We used to videotape the people to see where they are from... makes for some fun videoing. I'm going back in July and dragging some of my friends with me.. I'm sure they will like it just as much! If you come to Arizona, try to make it to Greasewood Flats , you won't be disappointed. enjoy!
