Not the best experience. I brought in my rifle to have a new muzzle brake installed. What I got was a 15 minute critique over the quality of the accessories that I had added to it. I'm not rich, so I don't have $150 to spend on sights, $500 to spend on a stock, or $100 to spend on a sling- but that's the advice that I got. I work for a living, and have to pay rent, utilities, student loans, car insurance, gas, food, and so on; those things take priority over anything else. Following all of this, I was told that a new muzzle brake installation would cost $35 and take two weeks because they "weren't about to bother putting [me] before anyone else" (I never expected that and certainly as all blazes didn't need THAT comment). On the way out of the building, as I threw my case (keep in mind that these people expect you to take out a second mortgage to build a gun) over my shoulder, I overheard the muttered comment "yeah, that's a cheap-*bleep*ing case, too!"

The next time I need to have anything done to my rifle, I will NOT be going there- I'll go to some place staffed with people who don't wear a look on their face that says "I need to be slapped."

This gun club is decent for regular gun buys, but stay away from buying NFA items from them. They sat on my tax stamp for over two weeks after they received it which is not acceptable. The individual who handles the NFA transfer process was apparently out of office for a week and a half, and when she returned I was told it would take about another week to process the returned tax stamp, and I still don't have it after this promise. This is a large club, and you are going to tell me nobody else in the entire building or a manager can hand me my tax stamp and suppressor? And you are going to make me wait another week? Again, unacceptable.

Keep in mind most NFA dealers call you the same day your tax stamp is returned so you can pick up your item. It is bad enough you have to wait on the ATF, but when your own dealer provides terrible service and sits on a tax stamp it makes it worse.

Further, their gun smith here is terrible as well, at least in follow-ups. I was told twice by him in person he would give me a call back later that day, which never happened (days later). I understand you are busy, but don't promise to call me if you don't follow through.

For all of your NFA buys and transfers, look elsewhere.

I have been in SGC many time l...

I have been in SGC many time looking through the product they carry. Sometime I feel that half of the staff are not very friendly unless you plan to buy something from them. They justseem to ignor you. Most of the time that happen to me. However, this time was different. I went in to check out some of their 1911 and ask many question about it. One of the floor staff out of no where jump out to help me his name was Brent. His recomendation of the 1911 price range and model is very helpful to me. I went back home and did somemore research on the 1911 he recomended and found it to be just like he said throught out the gun community. I was very impressed of his accuracy of his knowledge. Most importantly, his friendly service was shocking to me the most thought. I never get a service treatment like Brent gave me from other staff.

I rate 3 star because... I feel that the staffs service was not up to standard that they should be.

I will definetly go back to SCG thought, but I will be asking Brent for help. :)

So Much Fun!

My husband and I went here for a date night activity last night and it was so much fun. I've never fired a gun so it was an interesting experience. We rented a lane and a gun and shot till our hearts were content. The staff was so helpful, especially knowing I was a rookie. This is an inexpensive way to have a very unique date!
