We usyally meet a bunch of SF fans at this restaurant. This year we went in to adjust a reservation (as a courtesy to the restaurant) and the manager, was drunk and a total jerk to us. I was shocked, as we had visited this place many times before, but he continued to be a jerk. We will never go back there again, and canceled our reservation for another night. He was so rude, he was lucky we didn't get even..... DON'T GO TO THIS PLACE. There are plenty of other good restaurants in this area.... BOB

I love this place, food is great and so are the people. Go there all the time when in town.

I can't imagine a worse experience. We were having a good time up until the point where the waiter realized that we weren't going to be spending a fortune there. We had already had an early dinner and were ordering light. The waiter rolled his eyes at us when we asked to split a dish and charged us a five dollar fee to split an eleven dollar dish. At first glance the food on the menu seemed appealing but we were sadly dissapointed when our plates arrived. It was obvious that "homeade" sausage was no more homemade then what I buy at the supermarket and cook up at home. The server actually "shooshed" my fiance when she tried to ask him a question. Also, he never returned to our table to ask about refills. And since we were having cocktails he lost out on a huge tip oppurtunity. The manager was condesending to us when we confronted him about the rude server. He said that his server was well within his right to be mean because we were taking up space that could be filled by customers who would spend more money. Then he chased us out on the street as we left, to confront us about the measley tip we left for our rude server.
If you never had really good italian food before you might be fooled into thinking these dishes are good. Save yourself the hassle and cross the street to Grimaldi's or Buca De Beppo. You'll thank me.
