Ripped off for $1300 and my truck has been damaged …..



I made the big mistake of letting Skip’s replace my battery. I should have gone to the Ford dealer, but decided to use a local shop for a small repair.



They managed to add on tons of extra work – the starter, the radiator, the clutch, etc.



Every time I came back to pick up the truck, they either found something else to replace and then botched the repair. They ended up doing about $4K in total.



The starter didn’t start when I came to pick up the truck, so I had to have it replaced again. When they replaced the clutch, they forgot to attach the muffler. Then, they jammed in the bolt and wanted to drill it out at their shop, which would have resulted in severe engine damage. When they replaced the radiator, they jammed in the thermostat and it is now permanently broken and can’t be removed or replaced.



The last ripoff – three clutches within two years. The last time, it wasn’t even a clutch issue. They mis-diagnosed it, charged me $1300 and I finally got the real problem fixed at the Ford dealer. The warranty ripoff – it only covers the first repair, not the second replacement.



This is the short version of all of the troubles I had with them. The list is actually much longer.



The new management says that they swept out the previous crew of incompetents. The owner says that’s not true. Someone is not telling the truth.



There’s a lot more damage they did, but I don’t want to make the story too long. You get the general idea.



I’ve told my story to everyone in my community and then I find out no one else has anything good to say about them either (also should have checked here first). I should have asked around before I threw away a lot of money. And, I should have listened to my gut and go directly to the Ford dealer.



Bottom line: incompetence + lying = total ripoff



Don’t go there unless you want to throw money away.
