On 2/28/14 I called in to request a dumpster be put at an apartment building. I spoke with the sales person and they stated they could have it there by 3/10/14. That date passed and no dumpster. I called the same sales person on 3/14/14 and they said "I tried to find the location but couldn't so we didn't deliver it. I explained everything again then he remembered that he never sent a contract so that needed to be done. I received a contract that was for 5 years, the rate could increase anytime, and it could only be cancelled with a 60 day notice but not more than a 120 day notice and only after the 5 years was up. I negotiated that contract to 3 years, a rate increase in the 3rd year of no more than 3%. I signed this agreement on March 17th. The dumpster was finally delivered on 3/21/14.
I got my first bill. It included a pro-rated fee, an admin fee and a gas tax charge. All of which were guaranteed not to be on the bill. It was one flat rate per the contract. After speaking with the sales person, he said all of this would be fixed and I wouldn't be charged the first month due to all of the issues.
The trash should've been picked up in the week March 31st. No pickup was done. Then, I called on 4/10/14 regarding the trash still not being picked up. I was told it was in the system and would be picked up ASAP. 4/15/14 - no trash picked up STILL. I called and emailed. Again, promised it would be picked up the next day. 4/17/14 - no trash picked up STILL. I called and emailed. They said it is on the schedule for 4/18. Still no pick up as of 4/22. I called and emailed. Now they said that a bridge (only one direction) is the issue. The weight limit is too high for the bridge (1st we've ever heard this especially since all of the neighbors receive trash service fine). Now it has been over a month and no pickup. Needless to say but, our tenant were not happy.
I began calling the corporate office, the sales person and they gave me numbers for the two people in charge of operations. I received NO calls back. 5/2/14 - I received a 2nd bill with all of the same "hidden charges" and a late fee for not paying the 1st bill (even though I was informed that it would be taken care of and I didn't owe anything) My 2nd bill was $250+ for no pick up.
5/5/14 I called the corporate office trying to get something done. They told me that a decision was made to remove the dumpster.
5/6/14 - dumpster was removed. Trash was taken out and left on the ground for us to take care of because it was too full (because it hasn't been picked up in 46 days).
Do not use this company. They said my bill would be wiped clean but I'll believe it when I see it. The hidden fees and their contract terms were ridiculous. It is a shame that no one could just do what they are supposed to do. Save your money.
