Teeth Cleaning
A procedure to remove plaque, tarter and stains from teeth, with the intention of preventing periodontal disease and tooth decay.
Dental Sealants
Dental sealants are thin plastic coatings that are applied to the grooves on the chewing surfaces of the back teeth to protect them from tooth decay. Most tooth decay in children and teens occur on these surfaces. Sealants protect the chewing surfaces from tooth decay by keeping germs and food particles out of these grooves.

Fillings
Resin Composite
Restoration of broken, chipped or decayed teeth with amalgam (silver), composite resin (white), or porcelain materials to restore appearance and function.
Veneers
In dentistry, a veneer is a layer of material (porcelain or composite) placed over a tooth, either to improve the aesthetics of a tooth or to protect the toothâ€™s surface from damage.
Crowns
A restoration which covers all or most of a natural tooth due to extensive decay or fracture. In most cases the crown can be fabricated in one visit using E4D technology.
Bridges
Missing teeth may be replaced by a partial or complete denture, which is a removable appliance, or by fixed bridges or implants which are not removable.
Dental Bonding
Dental bonding is a procedure in which a tooth-colored resin material (a durable plastic material) is applied and hardened with a special light, which ultimately â€œbondsâ€ the material to the tooth to restore or improve a personâ€™s smile.

Root Canal Treatment
Root canal treatment is performed on a tooth that has damage to the nerve and blood vessels, found inside the tooth, due to extensive decay, fracture or some type of trauma. Without treatment, the tooth may become infected. The nerves (pulp) of the tooth are removed and the space (canal) is filled and sealed. The tooth may then be restored with a filling or a crown.

Dentures
Our office makes dentures from start to finish at our office. We have an in-house dental lab with two qualified lab technicians. Dentures take about 4 visits after the initial consultation.

Dental Implants
A stationary appliance which replaces one or more missing teeth. The bridge is cemented to supporting teeth or implants adjacent to the space.

Dr. James DeLuke is a graduate of St. Michaelâ€™s College and Columbia University School of Dental of Oral Surgery. He completed a residency in General Dentistry at Lennox Hill Hospital in New York City. He joined his father and brothers in practice in 1986. Dr. DeLuke is a member of the American Dental Association and its local affiliates (New York State, Fourth District and Schenectady County). He is a past president of the Schenectady County Dental Society and currently serves on the Fourth District Peer Review Committee.Â He is also a member of the teaching staff at Ellis Hospitalâ€™s Dental Residency Program.

His oldest son Louis recently graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and is currently in a one-year advanced general dentistry program at Boston University School of Dental Medicine. His younger son Nicholas is a pre-dental student at Providence College.
