I have had a couple of massages at this location and loved the therapist. She was unavailable yesterday so the receptionist suggested I see a different therapist. I asked if she had a similar style as the therapist I liked and she said she wasn't sure as she had not had a massage from either one (should have been a red flag for me!!!). I was so disappointed in the therapist I saw (Iris). I told her a couple of times the areas I wanted her to focus on and that heavy/hard pressure was good because I had knots in my back that I wanted to her to work on. I don't think she knows how to vary the massage based on what the client wants. It was a total waste of money. From now on I will only see the therapist that I know is good, but I think the receptionist should be more familiar with what style each therapist has so when people ask for a particular skill, style or need, the receptionist can make sure to recommend the correct therapist. Iris may not be a bad therapist for someone who wants light pressure and just wants to relax, but for someone looking for more of an atheletic "work on the knots" massage, she is not your gal.
I am not the type of person to come online and rate a doctors office or any other place for that matter, but that being said i feel the treatment i received from Dr. Kearns at the Center for physical health deserved some sort of acknowledgement. I hurt my lifting something heavy back in the summer of 2008 and tried to ignore the problem for a year and a half. At some point the pain caught up with me and i really felt like a had no choice but to go and see someone about it. I looked online to chiropractors that were close to my area and this office came up. From the moment i stepped foot inside the office the staff was very welcoming and Dr. Kearns himself sat down with me a listened to me talk about the issues i was having for about an hour before taking x-rays at the office and correctly diagonising me with a disc issue. Dr. Kearns took the time to listen to my problems and was able to put me on a treatment plan that ultimatly led to my full recovery. If you are looking for a dr in the Schaumburg area that is not trying to scam or treat you like a paycheck, i highly recommend The center for physical healt.- Jim Mchginnis
I had a huge knot in my back, so big that it hurt to take a deep breath or yawn. Monica was amazing in helping me get the golf ball sized knot out, as well as an identical one in the other side of my back under my shoulder blade. She knew that I'd been having headaches, and found more knots that I didn't know I had. She was gentle, yet did very deep tissue. She also gave me a remedy for after my massage so it didn't get sore the next day. I felt that she was very qualified and knowledgeable. This was my first time and I printed a discount coupon off of her website, for a really great deal. I'm definitely going back in a week or two.
I see Alannah every other week for PUSH Therapy. Her work on my fibromyalgia and postural alignment is an important aspect of my long term treatment plan. Alannah has gone the extra mile to integrate with my doctor and physical therapist, and her continuing education has provided new ideas and therapies that have made a valuable contribution to my care - she is an essential part of my team! In an industry where many are limited to recreational spa type treatments, Alannah stands out as a health care professional. Highly recommended.
I have been get the massage for almost 12 years and this place is the best place for the massage so far. People are really friendly and trying to help me out in everyway. I haven't get the massage from everyone work there but so far almost everyone I tried are really good. Only one of the therapist that they have is not really strong. This pplace is the best place for the massage compare to the ones in the area.
Quality Excellent I have been going to Monica's for 9 years. I have a herniated disc and am prone to get sciatica. Monica has been able to relieve the pain and relax the muscles to the point that the sciatica is gone! She also does a great job of relieving the pressure on my back due to the herniated disc issue. Monica's is the best place to go for pain relief and relaxation of your muscles!
I received a gift certificate to visit Alannah and expected a nice relaxing massage. However, Alannah took the time to listen to my peculiar aches and pains, and I ended up with an invigorating PUSH treatment that addressed troublesome lower back pain! I felt great afterward and would like all my friends and relatives to know that I am open to receiving more gift certificates for Alannah!
