It is very disappointing when you go to the main IMAX site and you see all of the cool, regular release movies that are playing in IMAX and then you realize that the IMAX in Ft. Lauderdale rarely has any of these but tends to go for just the educational type of movies. I am not opposed to nature movies and the like, I go see those too, but it seems like since this IMAX is located inside of a Museum, they think they are too sophisticated to play regular movies. They do have some from time to time, so thanks for that. Also, the staff is rude and the wait to get in is horrendous.
A wonderful place for IMAX movies and for kids of all ages to play together. A wonderful addition to the neighborhood.
Like most people, I don't see a movie on impulse. It is a planned event. After planning all week to see ""District 9"" on Saturday, September 26, 20…
My favorite theater for indie and foreign films! They are the only place I can ever find the foreign films I want to see. My husband and I love it so much we drive all the way from southwest Miami-dade! We make it a date and eat next door to a very yummy Italian restaurant, Big Louie's! I strongly recommend Gateway Theater!
THE FINEST THEATER IN FLORIDA--NOT ENOUGH 3D FEATURES PLAYING HOWEVER. ANIMATED MOvIES ARE NOT REALY FOR ME. THEY DON'T HAVE TO ALL B E 5 STARS BUT A GOOD STORY WITH THRILLS AND NOT TOO MUCH IMPOSSIBLES IS GOOD. I HIGHLY RECOMEND THE IMAX IN FT LAUDERDALE ., FL.
