My husband and I love this establishment! The service is very professional and we love Chiriya. I love the pineapple curry; it is my favorite. My husband enjoys ALL the dishes she makes. We have never had a bad experience at the restaurant and would encourage others to go. We had Nick's birthday party there and she made him the best birthday surprise dish ever, he loved it. I invited some friends to join us and they loved the food as well, including their children. Great night! I am surprised that someone would say this is not a great place to eat Thai food. If their mother is Thai, and they enjoy their mother's style of cooking, then of course they will NOT appreciate the way another Thai individual will prepare Thai dishes! They obviously don't know the owner or the background of this establishment. Chiriya is Thai and lived in Thailand for awhile. Her partner is from Hawaii and they share their ideas to create a wonderful menu! The lights are dimmed to give the restaurant a romantic ambience. If you need help reading the menu, I am sure they will accommodate. So, becareful what you write until you know the facts!! This is a great restaurant and very elegant inside; I love the booths. So, please try this restaurant and enjoy some of the wonderful cuisine; you will not regret it!

This place deserves 5 stars. Awesome, authentic, and reasonably priced Thai in Savannah. We were starving and couldn't decide on which of the delicious-looking items to try, so we got a lot of food knowing it would save well for the next day: FOOD: Appetizer: Bikini Shrimp Rolls. These were delicious: crispy and flavorful dipping sweet chili sauce. Meat: Num tok. Amazing flavor, served with bed of lettuce and it could have well been a one-plate meal for someone. Noodles: Pad See eew with chicken. It was just as it should be, sweet dark soy sauce and delicate flavor in abundance - just right! Curry: Red pineapple with Chicken curry. Red curry with pineapple cubes, chicken, and other vegetables. Tasty, not too creamy, not too spicy. Whole Flounder : I love the sweet and sour sauce the fish came with. The fish itself didn't have that fishy smell, and was perfectly cooked. Definitely be venturous and try out new things. The menu has much to offer.
My wife and I went on a Friday night around 6:30pm just beating the dinner rush around 7pm. It is a very appealing establishment on the inside and out. When we walked inside we were greeted very quickly and seated promptly in a corner booth as we requested. The friendly servers were very quick to take our orders in the food was made in a short amount of time. My wife ordered the Panang Curry with Chicken and it was amazing. I ordered the Se-ew noodles with chicken and they were kind of bland. I might not order the Se-ew noodles again, but I would definitely recommend the Panang Curry to anyone planning on having lunch or dinner there. The meals were all reasonably priced and we will definitely visit the restaurant again. The only other complaint I have is that the tables are placed pretty close together so when another couple was seated next to us, we had to listen to their entire conversation. Overall a great Thai restaurant!!!
The Ruan Thai Fried Rice was excellent. My fear of Thai food being too spicy was put to rest. I tried middle of the road for heat level. With the sweetness of the pineapple, raisins and cashews. Made this dish a favorite of mine. The dish was served in a fresh pineapple bowl which was very creative, and made an attractive presentation. The staff was very attentive, open kitchen concept and extremely clean bathrooms made the whole experience a positive. I would recommend this place as a destination stop in Beautiful Downtown Savannah. And have been bragging about this restaurant to all of my work colleagues.
LOOOOOVE IT!!!!!!!!!! Kao Thai you have me wrapped around your little finger! ;) A friend of mine, who was born and raised in Thailand, introduced me to this delicious place. Been going every week ever since. Their menu selection is enormous. So much goodness to choose from. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Their Nam Tok salad is INCREDIBLE! Get it spicy if you dare, delicious! Pork panang curry and Bikini shrimp are also great. I am addicted to their Thai Iced Tea-theeee BEST! Must try the Khao Neaw Ma-Muang(Sticky rice with mango) too!
My favorite Thai place just got better! My family and I went there last night for the first time in a while (we live 25 miles away). They have a different cook in the back. While I loved it before, it was even better last night!! Never thought that would happen!! Staff is always very attentive. without being too intruding. My husband likes his Thai Hot, and they come close to getting it hot enough for him!! My favorite is the Tom Kha Gai (chicken & coconut soup) and the Green Curry with Chicken. Yummy!!
Really quite fantastic food. Pretty much a hole in the wall, which you know has to be great. :) The Pad Thai is amazing, and they have lots of vegetarian options. Super flavorful, and the prices and portions are right on. One other great thing, is most of their menu is available mild or spicy, which is just right for someone like me who loves the flavor of spices, but not so much the sting.
We've been getting take-out from here since we moved here few months ago and love this place. The staff are so friendly, food is consistently good, delivery is fast, dishes are always piping hot, portions are enormous, and prices very reasonable. Their noodles are fantastic--If you are in the area, give this place a shot.
This is an EXCELLENT place to eat! The owner is very friendly and makes sure that all of her customers are taken care of. The food is fabulous! I have recommended this to several people and they have all LOVED it! Great atmosphere too!
Having lived in Southeast Asia, this place is King! Food is consistently good and if you like Thai, awesome. Service is always good too. There is a reason why this place was voted as one of Savannah’s best restaurants.
