My family and I were on a vaction/work trip, we ate there 2 days ago. We had a great experience and the food was delicious. We were seated quickly a…
Casual atmosphere, friendliest place in town. They believe in Southern hospitality. We were greeted by Florence and felt a warm welcome immediately. She reviewed the menu with us and helped us make our selections. I had the BBQ spareribs squash, rice, mac and cheese, and cornbread. My husband ordered the grilled shrimp and fish special with rice, sweet corn on the cob and garlic bread. The ribs were perfect and I drooled over the squash with gilled onions. Yummy! I also ate a lot of his shrimp, as I can't seem to pass on the seafood! The store was a take-out for evening, however they had seating if you wanted to eat-in. There was always someone in line and obviously a lot of locals were greeted with the same friendly cheerful smile and bantering. A great find if you want some "real food from Savannah". Our thanks to "the cook"- Miss Cynthia, and Florence and Priscilla. What a fine establishment you have. We thank the gentlemen that gave us this suggestion. Congratulation to you too Florence on passing the bar. You should be proud. Steve & Kathy Portland, Oregon
Savannah has a number of locally owned "upscale dining" restaurants,700 Drayton is one of the best. The menu is carefully prepared with foods that complement each other perfectly. I have eaten at many many restaurants in savannah and this is by far my favorite of the upscale menu's. The price is on the rather low end as well. The food is small but absolutely perfect! The atmosphere is enchanting, The history and architecture of The Mansion is hard to beat here in Savannah. The mansion has a superb bar, wonderful staff, showcased art, wonderful style and decor as well as the gorgeous hotel right next door. The hotel has art for your viewing pleasure, super late check out times and gorgeous amenities! A+++ an entire afternoon of entertainment for the tourist looking for a rich experience without having to go very far from their hotel room!
Cha Bella is a beautiful restaurant right in Savannah. We chose Cha Bella for our wedding reception because in addition to having a nice size reception room inside they have a beautiful covered patio outside. We are foodies so Cha Bella’s farm to table concept of using only the freshest ingredients prepared daily at the restaurant really appealed to us. We dined there times prior to our wedding and the food was always outstanding. Candace, their event coordinator was very attentive and met all of our culinary needs. She was willing to meet several times and go over every detail to make sure our wedding was a success. The restaurant was decorated beautifully and the staff was very professional and friendly. We could not be happier about our wedding. Thank you Cha Bella for making our special day perfect!
