        Coastal Harbor Treatment Center is a more than 13-plus-bed, privately owned and operated psychiatric hospital that specializes in the care of children and adolescents with psychiatric and behavioral problems. The hospital offers long-term treatment programs for children and adolescents with developmental and cognitive delays, sexually aggressive behaviors, and family, academic and legal difficulties. Its clinical services division has a team of therapists, senior counselors and mental health assistants who provides group and individual therapies. The hospital is licensed by the State of Georgia Office of Regulatory Services and is accredited by the Joint Commission. It is also approved by the United States Centers for Medicare and Medicaid. Coastal Harbor Treatment Center is a part of Universal Health Services, which is one of the largest hospital management companies in the United States that own and operate more than 140 facilities.

        Terrible M.D. and Accountability

        There is a serious problem with mental health facilities in America, and Coastal Behavioral Health is no exception. I was sent there because I was bullied and threatened to be killed by my roommate. I was diagnosed by Georgia Southern University's Counseling Department and shipped to Coastal. I have been there in Fall of 2013 and Summer of 2014 diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder and almost lost my life to these "mood stabilizers" they put me on:otherwise known as Depakote, Xyprexa, Risperdal and Ambilify. Now I've stopped taking the mood stabilizers and my "Bipolar" symptoms have gone away. Not only that, they threw away my retainer. A 290$ retainer and no accountability was charged. I do not recommend this place! I have had a terrible experience here.
