Grand Oaks in Savannah is a nice SPA-resort type community! First of all, it is beautiful, clean and quiet outside and inside. Very pleasant environment! Secondly, the staff is amazing! So kind, nice, helpful! I was suprprised, when I had to call about some manor problems we had in our apartment and just 2 hours later everything was taken care of! That is like a magic, don't you agree? Very good quality service. Thirdly, the convenience of everything is unbelievable! Dog poop stations are everywhere so are picnic-tables etc. Very nice! Fourthly, the neighbors are very friendly - I was skeptical in the beginning as I read some unpleasant reviews on-line regarding this matter, however, everyone we met so far has been smily and nice, and people do greet each other and they do talk unlike the feedback you may find on-line. So that was kind a concern of mine, but not anymore. Fifthly, inside the apartment the wall isolation ensures you have your peace. I was yelling from our bedroom to get the kids' attention as I couldn't get up, but..... no one could here me :-) We don't hear anyone in a hallway, nor outside. What a big difference can it make on a day-to-day basis! Great place to be! These are all positive things to share with you, guys. The only negative comment is that despite promising free WiFi at the club, the business-center and the pool, Grand Oaks does NOT have any WiFi there at all. They do have 2 Mac computers, but if you are like me and need your own files to work with and your work is on-line, you will be let down as I was. I live in Atlanta and moved with my husband to Grand Oaks. I am a consultant and everything I do is on-line. I need WiFi 24/7. Because Grand Oaks has no WiFi and Comcast said they needed 7 days to come to hook the Internet up at our home, I had to go to Stabucks, which is 6.9 m away. However the Internet there is very slow as there are tons of people using it. So.... after all the struggle, I had to go back to Atlanta as I couldn't keep missing work for not having WiFi. Overall, I wasted $150 on gas both ways and was disappointed and separated from my family. That is unacceptable in the 21st century, when WiFi is a given at modern places such as Grand Oaks. Other than that, we are pleased with everything there. Thank you.

Management is amazing, she worked hard to get me the apartment I wanted. Move in day was amazing (roughly a year and a half ago). The apartment itself is "ok", nothing amazing. There were some repairs to be made, but it never was hard to get anyone to come fix it. My apartment however, was right next to a creek, where the bugs are crazy. I have had it all: huge cockroaches everyday, then that stopped. Then I had RATS ( I CAUGHT 5 WITHIN ONE MONTH) but I asked to exterminator to spray the exterior of the entire building, so I have not had a problem with that since. Then I had fruit flies everywhere. That went away, but then i had GIGANTIC house flies ( seriously, i killed twenty in one single window one afternoon). Then those went away, and now I had sugar ants. I am a very clean person, I clean everything with Bleach, but they still manage to come back. If you want to move in here, I suggest you ask for an apartment AWAY from the creek, or any of the wooded area. If it weren't for all the bug/rat problems, I would gave given 5 stars. It's cheap, friendly, and someone is always willing to help with your problems.
I would highly recommend this place to others. I am a young mother of one son and I came from florida to attend college. I've been at this place for over 3 years now and they have truly improved. The workers and maintenance always been a huge help to the people out here. I have met other families and friends and loved the community. This is not a bad place like you read from the other views. This is a nice and quit place to be and relax by a lake that's located in the front of the apartments. I enjoyed my time being here. Please don't pass it by because of 2 comments fron 2 years ago, This place is close place to everything. from bus routes to shopping. good luck!!!
