Had a wonderful time at the Lazy Swan last week. We ate at the new restaurant and it was really good. Great service and great food and moderatly priced. We decided to go back a few days later and try the outside raw bar and it was excellent, a lot of fun. WELL ALMOST... until we realized nothing changed and the owner spent her night drinking then flirting with everyones husbands and boyfriends including mine. It really makes it very uncomfortable and needless to say unprofessional. Not sure if we will be going back. Sorry.

My friend and I dined at the new Raw bistro today, and I must say everything was just fantastic! Halfway through our meals, she commented that she felt as if she was on a vacation, and I realized that I had the same feeling, looking out on the golf course from our table, hearing the upbeat music from the bar, eating delicious food and being served by a delightful, attentive waitperson.
The panko breaded soft shell crab I had was plentiful and really delicious, my friend's crabcake was equally wonderful. The prices were very reasonable, too. We're both locals, and we will be back before too long. There's more to try on the menu. <G>

I have to say I was very upset when my husband and I went to dine at this restaurant this past Friday. We arrived for dinner and we had our 11 month old son with us. The gentlemen who sat us was very nice and said he would find us a high chair. They came back shortly afterwards and said that they did not have one and it was locked up in the hall where they have events. I was upset that they were not prepared for children there. We were served rather quickly. my husband and I had to hand off the baby between us to eat dinner . Trish the waitress was very sweet. I realized shortly into my meal that one of the owners JOANN was sitting in a booth eating and never attempted to get us the high chair from the other building nor did she come over and apologize to us that they could not accommodate us. I felt rushed through my meal as if we were not welcome, Funny they had no problem taking our money. The food was not even that good. It lacked the most basic ingredient SALT! I would not recommend this place to anyone. We first went here when they first opened. We told our friends about it then. I am telling them how I feel about that place now and hope none of them return. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Had the opportunity to eat this past Saturday night at the new Italian restaurant at the Lazy Swan, Vivo. I must say we had a great time. I went with my husband and another couple, the restaurant had a great cozy feel to it. We had a about a fifteen minute wait to be seated, which was fine. When we got seated we were greeted by a our server right away and she took our drink orders quick. When we received our drinks I asked the manager what he recommended on the menu. After taking his advice I ordered the Grilled Shrimp and my husband had the Calamari, appetizers were AMAZING. My friends had the Della Nonna it was a family style pasta with meatballs and sausage, Delish.!!! and a lot of fun. We loved the food and the service. For how busy it was on a Saturday night, and for how quick our service was this is great Italian Restaurant.... WE WILL DEFINITELY BE RETURNING. !!

A wonderful place for any event... the ballroom is absolutely spectacular, the service is top-notch, and the food is delicious! Attended a beautiful wedding in July, and everything was great Would recommend this gorgeous place to anyone who would want to host any kind of special event. The views are something out of a movie, and the actual ballroom was stunning.... those chandeliers are worth a trip to The Lazy Swan in itself! Great night, wonderful place!

Eh...although the golf course is beautiful, the management is rude and elitist. Food is average and the wait staff is poorly trained.

Don't book your event here. They are aloof, unhelpful, and inexperienced. Plus they know nothing about food presentation which was a huge letdown. Such a waste of money :(
I just wanted to respond to this review as I am the new event coordinator at the Lazy Swan. I just wanted to assure anyone that is looking for a wedding venue or has an event coming up. The staff has been completely made over and there is a new chef who is excellent. I have been an event planner for the last 8+ years and I take a lot of pride in my work and have addressed all old issues and can assure anyone you will have nothing but an enjoyable experience.

My girlfriends and I went for dinner the other night. The grounds are gorgeous and the decor of the buildings is spectacular -- especially the ballroom (from what we could see through the windows)!
Surprisingly, the food did NOT match the surroundings at all. Our meals were mediocre and the presentation was very sloppy as if thrown together on a cafeteria line. Definitely NOT worth the price! It felt like we were paying for the atmosphere and and view rather than the food. On the plus side, our waitress was friendly and accommodating.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend the Lazy Swan unless you're going just to enjoy the surroundings.
I can assure you as a new part of the management team. The chef and entire kitchen crew has changed. We are working very hard to be the best in the area. Please come and visit us again and I promise you will not be disappointed.

to the point... beautiful course ( currently 9 holes), under construction for the additional 9 next year. Fabulous from tee to green, lightning fast undulating greens, beautiful mountain views, great clubhouse, Bar, top of the line all around.
