This place has been going downhill for 5 years now. I don't now if it can get any worse than it is now.
This place is only worth going to because the good indoor ranges are kinda far away.
There is a younger really heavyset guy who works there who is on a huge power trip. He is aggressively rude with customers and in general treats people like crap. Some of the other guys who work there are nicer all be it ignorant about a lot of things that they should know about. Last time I was there I could not believe that the other employees were allowing the power trip guy to talk to customers like that. I don't know they're names but I have only saw the power trip guy there the last 2 times I went there. The other guys are pretty mellow. If you go there you will very quickly know who I am talking about.
Ammo is overpriced. Minus the occasional sale they have on certain models they're guns are also overpriced and there really isn't a lot of selection either. I do not mean compared to the internet overpriced. I mean compared to anywhere locally overpriced.
The range is OK but the target moving controls are touch and go. And if it is above 80 outside then it is going to be VERY hot inside the range. Just because its inside doesn't mean it is air conditioned. All they have are 2 big fans to circulate the hot smelly air. I went there one time last summer when it was almost 90 degrees outside and I had to leave. It was hotter than any sauna I have ever been in. And since there was people in there shooting it stunk a lot too.
My advice is to take the drive and go to Shoot Straight in Brandon (30-40 mins away). Or better yet Shooters World in N Tampa.
