Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints

not to cause drama for anyone..but a bad experience..is poorly said and done.. what would Jesus have done in this situation?

i have been a convert 4 yrs now..to the LDS church..im from salt lake city.. thought i truly found my joy in the truth.then i came to help a family whos son is having a double kidney transplant..i was told i will have a room of my own..in a 'house' and 2 doggies and help my friend.. come to find out, its a 2 bedroom apt.with 6-8 people, his bi polar mom, her friend,brother, his girlf and a baby. brother smokes pot daily with the baby in the home..the mom attacked me,punching me in the face, and tellin me why did i come.. and that i was not wanted here; then what? so i called my nearest ward, attempting to find a place to go for just a couple months is all i need, to be peaceful..and the bishop does call, but has no interest at all in helping, not even a ride to church..i feel im dealt a very cold hand as if im the criminal. im still in this uncomfortable situation..do people ever care when one like me makes a poor judgment..wanting to do a good deed..takes a leap and oops..makes me doubt if the people of LDS, namely in the south, really care that much..i come from baptist-pentecostal background..some of them reach out and help more..i think we should be more mission minded.. i chose to come serve my own mini mission, i made an error, and i cried out for help, and got NONE! sad.. very sad. the ward i called was 7001 Beneva Rd.. how about caring a little more, if u really wanna reach souls for the gospel, and not be pretenders..Be a doer of the Word and not hearers only! so now im relying more for the baptist church..maybe they will reach out and help a poor mormon lady like me? take care
