I love my new life in Sarasota, but I was about to give up on Chinese Restaurants here. My past experiences started with "REALLY disappointing" downhill right to "inedible". I thought "OK, great seafood here but you don't eat Chinese in Florida." I longed for the fabulous Man Tang on 79th Street in NYC, and the great little holes in the wall in Chinatown in Boston. It was hard to see life ahead without reliably enticing Chinese food. And THEN, Tonight, I found Uncle Wen and life here is now complete! Uncle Wen can cook! He offers a lot of variety and I've already picked out my next three meals from there..... Bourbon chicken, Twice cooked pork with cabbage, and Walnut Prawns. Yum! Uncle Wen's steamed dumplings have a very welcome THIN wrapper and a really tasty filling. His Jumbo Fried Shrimp come with fresh lemon. The batter is thin and crispy and the shrimp squeak with freshness. His roast pork fried rice is full of roast pork, onions, peas, carrots, sprouts, and the rice isn't a sticky mess - in fact it's almost fluffy. His prices are better than most of the dismal competitors in the area. He has imagination and you can tell he loves life, cooking, and the people that he feeds. Bravo, Uncle Wen! Thank you!
I toured many gyms before finally picking Youfit. You can't beat the price, (10 dollars for month to month or 20 for premium membership). Locker rooms and equipment is always clean and there are also stations through out the gym with cleaners for you to clean equipment yourself. They staff is wonderfully friendly. As someone who came into the gym out of shape, I have never once felt judged or ignored. You see the same friendly faces regularly, who always have a smile, and are happy to help you with any questions you might have. There is also 3rd party trainers available and all of them are extremely friendly as well.
I love the gym but when something is broken it takes weeks for someone to fix it. The spinniy class has been without a microphone for a week now and management has no clue. Management of this club is terrible
