My husband and I ate here New Year's Eve 2016 in their grand opening under new owners and menu. We were part of a 14-person group. What a grand-slam!! The food and service are probably the best in the Cashiers-Sapphire-Highlands-Lake Toxaway area. This restaurant sits in a converted house-like setting with two lovely fireplaces...although I wish that they would have incorporated more mountain feel to the ambiance than off-white walls and modern eclectic wall art...a little too "flat" and not necessarily a romantic setting. BUT, the food and service are AMAZING!!! Our entire group of 14 probably tried almost half of the menu and loved everything that we ate. My husband had the crab-citrus salad that tantalized the taste buds followed by the pot roast that melted in his mouth. I started with a velvety Jerusalem artichoke-parsnip soup that was sheer heaven! I followed this with the lobster-shrimp risotto and crispy Brussel sprouts that were full of flavor and cooked to perfection! We split the white chocolate moonshine creme brûlée for dessert and couldn't have asked for a more perfect ending to a perfect meal. Come...Eat... Enjoy! You won't be disappointed...chef Johannes is a master of his craft. My new favorite!!

Folded in 2010. Appears little possibility of what was a great place to eat of re-opening anytime soon.
