The Chamber is supportive of making Santee more business friendly which is so important in California.We believe that the leadership of the Chamber is looking at even more ways to uti- lize the power of the group to help business owners, and hopefully small business owners especially, become more successful in the beautiful city of Santee where we have been so lucky to own a business for almost 10 years.

"We found that the Chamber presented opportunities for us to learn ways to improve our business, and it was done in a subtle way, by writing articles about small business subjects that could help us, or by having speakers at the meetings on topics that would help us save money or improve business.

The mixers, while fun, provided opportunities for us to not just socialize and make friends, but to meet other business owners who were in the same ‘boat’ as we were. It makes it easier to pick up the phone and ask another business owner for their advice or opinion with whom you have shared a drink or bite to eat at a mixer."

"As a new business in an area it’s always difficult to ascertain the best way to distribute your advertising dollars, but I was fortunate enough to find a place where I definitely got my money’s worth, the Santee Maga- zine. We have been advertising with the TSM for 4 years now and it’s a great way to get customers though the door.

I never realized how many people actually read local publications, but there are a lot! Every time a pub- lication goes out we get a surge of customers; however we get a steady flow through the year as well. Even if people don’t come in right away, just

seeing the business in the TSM repeatedly helps them associate you with the services we provide. Advertising in the Santee Magazine has been a great ex- perience for us, and we are happy to be able to support the Santee Chamber."

Union Bank’s membership in the Santee Chamber of Commerce has been an invaluable means for us to connect with our existing customers and reach out to potential new customers as well as accomplish our community service goals. They do an excellent job of communicating events, organize great networking opportunities, and provide a host of resources that would benefit any business. We are proud of our membership in the Santee Chamber and look forward to continuing it for many years to come.

I have been an active member of the Santee Chamber of Commerce, since soon after we opened our Sport Clips Haircuts store in

January 2009. The organization has been instrumental in my efforts to network and meet other business owners and managers throughout the community. I have also found a couple of the Santee Chambers bigger events – the Street Fair and the Car Show – to be among the top opportunities to interact with the general public and invite them to give the Santee Sport Clips a try. The Santee Chamber has been instrumental to our growth in this area.

Thank you to the Santee Chamber for all your efforts and support. What a great staff and family to be part of. I just attended a great event as part of CGP Maintenance & Construction Services, and as with all their events, Santee Chamber out does themselves every time. Their support for the community and businesses is why I am a part of this organization and will be for many years.
