Arthritis
The most important thing you can do if you suspect you have any form of arthritis is to get a proper diagnosis and begin early, aggressive treatment. There are several other conditions that are similar to OA, including rheumatoid arthritis, that have different treatment plans. It is important that you are being treated properly for your arthritis. You should also know that treatment may change as the disease progresses or improves.

Dr. Arain is board certified in Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine. Dr. Arain obtained his medical degree from Liaquat Medical College University of Sind (Pakistan) in 1977. He did his internship in general surgery for one year and pediatrics for one year. He completed his internal medicine residency at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. He worked as an emergency room physician for one year at Wayne State University. He moved to Santa Maria, California in 1984 and established his practice with Central Coast Family Care. He has been awarded an honorary degree in cardiology from the American Academy of Cardiology.

Dr. Okerblom is Board Certified in Family Practice. Dr. John Okerblom has been in practice in Santa Maria since 1982, having served as Chief of Staff at Marian Medical Center. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Occidental College, was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society at USC School of Medicine, and is board certified in Family Practice. He is married, has two children, and enjoys hiking, biking, and skiing.

Kamlesh M. Desai, M.D. is a father of 3 and family physician in Santa Maria since 2003. He graduated from L.S.U.
