What fun.
What fun. A quaint, older, funkey place to stay so close to the beach the coffee didn't even get cold on the walk down. It was so great to be back in Santa Cruz and the Ocean Echo Inn and Beach Cottages felt like old times.

We had a great time in Santa Cruz We love it here so much that we have booked again for the 3rd year at Ocean Echo,. Its small and friendly, for your dogs too. You really can't get any closer to the beach. I love the beach access from there. Johanns Beach is family and dog friendly We even made a bonfire one evening. Ocean Echo also has beach items to use as well as boogie boards too. This is a well kept secret and 'Im not sure if I want to let others know how great it is there.

We had a great time last year. Small rooms but with kitchen and fridge. No A/C but being so close to the water it worked out well. Our dogs were able to go to the beach with us and run around. Its hard to find a place where dogs are welcome. I would recommend this to anyone who travels with the whole family. Very laid back and comfortable atmosphere.

My family and I spent three wonderful days at Ocean Echo in Spring of 2008. The cottages are a bit small and funky - this is not the Holiday Inn. But it you're looking for a place to stay that will put your feet right on the sand almost immediately out your door and you like nice gardens and a very homey atmosphere, this is a great place. Your dog will love it too! For only a small fee dogs are welcome. Give it a try!
