  Yuki Sushi is an excellent Japanese bistro where the demand is bigger than its supply. The food is fresh, tasty, and diverse, including teriyaki, tempura, udon, etc., as well as the sushi. The only thing it misses having is a chef who chops and grills in front of the guests.\r \r The service I've had has always been acceptable. The only problem is it should have expanded years ago. The neighborhood flocks to this place so if you arrive at peak dinner time, you frequently have to wait for a table--sometimes for the better part of an hour--but the food never disappoints.\r

  Love the sushi.....

  Love the sushi & the service. The wait maybe a little long on the weekend but definetely worth it. I love the Agedashi Tofu (best way to have tofu) and the spicy tuna roll. The food is yummy.

  Service was so bad we left before eating.

  Called in advance to make a reservation for 4 but was told that they only accept reservations for parties of 5 or larger. After driving there and waiting for over an hour for seating, we were told the next table for 4 that opened up was ""reserved"" and we'd have to wait another 10-15 minutes for seating at the bar!!! What a waste of time!

  Went there because of the reviews I read on CitySearch. Spent $20 on salad, tempura and sushi. They got the order wrong and I've had better sushi in the nearby area.

  Avoid on Weekdays and Weekends

  Yuki Sushi has the WORST sushi I have ever tasted in the Bay Area. The sushi was not fresh. The Sake (fish) was smoked, not fresh. This is the kind of Sushi restaurant I would expect on the East Coast. There are so many fabulous sushi places in the Bay Area, I will never go here again. Even though it is the closest one to my house.

  great local find! definitely will take all out of town guests here. the food is great, huge portions, great service, you couldn't ask for more...maybe just some space. but the line speaks for itself. the servers are always nice, even with the crowds. the menu is large, i recommend the udon and the agadasi tofu (spelled wrong, i know). haven't tried the sushi but i hear its wonderful as well. i recommend making reservations, they will seat you right away if you do!

  I like this casual place. There are tons of rolls to choose from, many of which have mayonaise so they did start tasting the same after a while. The fish is fresh! And they server large pieces of sashimi!

  I have yet to find better sushi and service for the great price! It is small so the wait can be a while, but ALWAYS worth it.

  Great Sushi!

  A very small restaurant tucked in the corner of a small plaza, this is a dining experience that can't be missed! I tried three rolls and they were all great. Here they are from least favorite to favorite: New York $ 4.75 - cream cheese and avocado wrapped in shrimp. Could have used more cream cheese but otherwise great. Tatsuo (Dragon) Roll $ 8.95 - two pieces of shrimp tempura, Japanese mayo, and cucumber wrapped in eel and avocado. Delicious! Jackie Roll $ 4.75 - scallops, shrimp, jalapeno sauce. Very unique and simply amazing! Best roll I have ever had! The service was exceptional and the staff was very friendly. It was obvious that they have a very loyal customer base as the staff was chatting and joking with many of the customers. There was also a traditional sitting Japanese dining area.

  Great Sushi

  Yuki Sushi has the best sushi I have ever tasted in the Bay Area. The Hamachi is fabulous. It just melts in your mouth. Also, the spicy tuna role is well made with a tasty jalapeno/mayo sauce. However, on the Baja role I thought there was an excess amount of mayo. It demolished the taste of the California role. The Shyumai was also excellent with its tangy mustard. The service was good, but I would not recommend going to Yuki Sushi with a large group due to the restaurant's size. Overall, Yuki Sushi is a small restaurant with big tastes.

  hamachi to die for

  i have to admit i am addicted to their hamachi. if there is a support group for hamachi addicts, let me know. the jalapeno sauce used on the spicy rolls is fabulous as well -- none of that cliche red-rooster sauce mixture you get in most other sushi bars in the spicy tuna rolls! i think i'm addicted to the spicy sauce too... i seem to experience regular cravings for a yuki spicy tuna ""fix."" the staff here is as friendly as they get. i am always amazed at how many people in the restaurant seem to know the staff at a personal level, exchanging greetings and stories about their families. brave the crowds and give them a try, you won't regret it!

  My Favorite Restaurant

  Yuki is my favorite restaurant because the food is amazing and the staff is very friendly. The sashimi/fish is the best Ive had at any price; large portions and quality you can ""see"" even as an amature sushi fanatic like myself. Load up on a large Asahi and a order of their ten-zaru soba noodles for a simple meal with major flavor!

  Small but very nice

  Small family-owned place that is often packed with diners. The servers are always polite and friendly. The food is excellent. My spouse likes the sushi and I love their tempura. One of our favorite places! This place reminds us Cheers, the TV series.

  Super Sushi!

  Over the years, I have become a sushi fanatic. I must say that Yuki Sushi is by far the best Japanese restaurant in the South Bay. Their cuts of sushi are large and fresh, and their menu has lots of items not found at other Japanese restaurants. This is a busy restaurant, so make reservations or arrive 30 minutes prior to when you want to eat during peak dinner times.

  It's the best Aji I've tasted. The shrimp we ordered was also good and fresh. We came during lunch, and it was packed! Looks like the place needs extension, but people DO want to wait. Probz because of the food, or because of the service. Probz both. I fell in love with the Aji, so we ordered twice, the same bento. It's tender, but crispy. So crispy. The sushi was not good. It's not crunchy, but too soft. Too much rice too. Suggestion: go for the bento, skip the sushi. You can get the sushi in Miyake (Stanford) a lot cheaper and tastier!
