I went to Yo Yo Shushi at Rivermark a coulpe days ago, I too ordered a soup and california roll, the hot sizzling soup was really great and the sushi was fresh and tasty, the waitress was very nice and accomodating, I will frequent more and try other items on the menu when I am in the area again. I do not see anything in this place that does not deserve a five star.

Maybe it?s just me, maybe it?s because I was hung over, but this place is over-hyped in my opinion. I read the citysearch reviews before going (in conjunction recommendation from a friend) and the comments regarding ?so-so? service are justified (I had to ask for drink refills, check, etc). The rolls were nothing spectacular either. Prices were decent and the place isn?t bad, but don?t expect anything too outrageous.

I went here of a friday night after work. I sat at the sushi bar. The sushi looked all dried out. You wonder how long it's been sitting there for. We did order something for the menu. The roll was SO spicy that you couldn't even eat it and it just fell apart. Service was bad I alway had to flag them down. They were too buy talking to themselves. \r I also asked for a refill on a soda and the lady said that there aren't any refills. What resturant doesn't do free refills????\r I will not be coming back to this place!!!!

Great restaurant. Prices were reasonable and food was great. My fave was the fuji volcano and fisherman roll. I also like the dressing for the salad. Service was prompt and good.

I sat at the bar and watched the same thing circle by all night. It looked so old I asked the sushi maker to make me things off the menu and evrything was better. The sushi is good. The service could have been faster, as all the staff were at the tables and not the bar. But it was better then when I first went there when Rivermark first opened.

I had prompt service, reasonably cheap prices, and well rolled sushi. They have group of boats floating on water circling the sushi bar, you can grab the sushi you want off of it, well stocked bar, good ambience - high tech plasma's etc. Good choice, my dinner ran me $15 -- two sushi rolls, edamame, iced-tea. Oh--one other cool thing. Lots of pictures and speciality rolls. Well done menu!!

I visit the Yo Yo Sushi Rivermark location regularly. After I had visited twice I was remembered. The drinks are strong, the food is consistent and the service is friendly but not annoying. The servers won't buzz around your table constantly, which is nice if you want to linger over a drink. For food, the sushi is quite good, if not the best in town. It's also not expensive. The hamachi kama appetizer is fantastic with crispy skin. The beef tataki is great, but skip the scallps prepared in the same manner. They're forgettable. Gyoza are always plump and delicate. If you're into tempura, you'll find theirs is the lightest in town. The ambiance is sort of trendy, with Friends-painted walls and unique lighting. It's a bit noisy, so don't go there for anything romantic. It's just a solid, come as you are type place.
