Try the sushi with fresh papaya on it as well as the dragon roll which has fresh and thinly sliced lemon on top! Everything is fresh and great customer service. Only downside is that they get very busy and you may have to wait 30+ min for a table if you come at peak hours. If you go on Sunday night its pretty empty though. The prices are a little higher as well, but the sushi here is worth it!
This place is one of the better places to eat sushi in the San Jose area. The place is always well maintained and it looks definitely high class when you walk in. The waitstaff is always friendly and they are attentive as well. I always get the lion king roll and Jimbo's which are there specialty. Before I liked sushi the bento box was a hit. It gave me two selection with a small selection of little eats like pickled vegetables and a nice fruit jello to finish off the meal. For sushi to be good, it must be reasonable, and tasty. This place is tasty I guess, nothing special, but it is pricey. Lucky for them, there aren't too many competitors in the south bay. I wouldn't recommend this place.
This place is pretty much a h!t and miss. There are days when the fish is superb and then there are days when you can smell the fishy-ness. The waitresses are very friendly though and the bento box is always a great backup.
I second the previous reviewer. The service can be off, but not horrible. The food is definitely worth it! I literally have cravings to go back and do almost weekly. Their fish is VERY fresh (I'm pretty picky) and their rolls are appetizing. I can also vouch for the portion size and quality of food. The Jimbo roll is my favorite, which is a tempura roll topped w/ fresh salmon, tuna, avacado, unagi and tobiko. If you're not into raw fish, then I'd highly recommend the Bay Island ...view moreRoll.. I get it every time i go. They've recently added sashimi ""appetizers"" for under $5. Rather than the usual double digit sashimi platters, you're can to get a specific fish rather than assorted, which is perfect for me because I only like fresh sake. They also have VERY fresh spicy scallop rolls, which are hard to find.view less
SUSHI O SUSHI has a nice decor! Although I've always been too full for desserts, I always go in with the will to try it. But I always order way too much because everything looks so good!!! I love the pictures on the menu. What makes this place different is that they have a non-seafood roll---beef roll! This place is also good for those who don't like seaweed, because they also have a soy wrap! It gets busy on FRI & SAT so prepare to wait. I was there for lunch on Sunday and had a bento box. The food was fresh, and the portion is just right. The waitperson were nice and came to check on me about 5 or 6 times; maybe because I was the only table there at that time. I recommend this place, you will also enjoy the ambiance.
