Keeping down the energy bill...

Keeping down the energy bill

would increase. The first month I thought there was some mistake but when it repeated, something had to be done. I called Sunlight Concepts, San Jose and scheduled a free daylighting assessment. I followed their advice and installed a 160 DS Solatube with 20 feet of piping to reach the basement.

I was a bit skeptical about the results the firm had promised, but when it was installed the difference was astonishing. It completely transformed the basement and trimmed down my energy bill too. We’re planning to install another unit to light up our utility room next.

Energy Bills Reduced - We call...

Energy Bills Reduced - We called in Sunlight Concepts of Santa Clara to see how we could cut down on our energy bills which were ridiculous. They suggested installing 2 Solatube Daylighting Systems – one in the kitchen and one in our lobby. Both places used to be dark and had to be lit with artificial lighting. I installed the systems myself. It took me just a morning and needed no structural alterations. The difference was amazing and our energy bill has reduced and is more affordable. We’re thinking about another unit for our basement.

A Quiet Attic Fan Solution - I...

A Quiet Attic Fan Solution - I had had just about enough of mold formation and fungal decay in our home and all because of moisture accumulation. And it was so uncomfortable because of no ventilation. My air-conditioning bill was hitting the roof. So this year I decide to do something about it. I researched the situation and decided on an attic fan solution. Sunlight Concepts said that two roof attic fans would take care of everything and they were right. Now the house is much cooler with a constant supply of fresh air. And there’s no moisture accumulation because it’s all exhausted out. And I get federal tax credit too. So it’s all win-win with Sunlight Concepts’ Quiet Cool Whole-House Fan System.

Our home used to be insufferab...

Our home used to be insufferably hot in summer, but not anymore now that we’ve installed a Solar Star attic fan made by Solatube. The problem was our attic which made our house a furnace in summer. It worked like a radiator warming up our living space. Our air conditioning cost went sky high. But ever since we installed the Solar Star attic fan it vents out the hot and humid air and keeps our attic cool, and with it our house as well. The Solar Star attic fan is solar powered so it doesn’t cost us a cent to operate. What’s more, Sunlight Concepts the dealer told us that we could save 30% in federal tax credits. So now the government pays for our comfort as well. Way to go!

"Comfort with an Attic Fan" ...

"Comfort with an Attic Fan"

When we remodeled our home we converted our attic into the kid’s bedroom. It just gave us that much space without the cost of having to add another room. But the kids refused to sleep in it, complaining of the summer heat. So I converted it into my office room from where I hoped to do my online business. But that wasn’t going to work – in summer the room became unbearably hot – and clammy. A friend recommended an attic fan – a solar powered attic fan to be precise, from Sunlight Concepts. This amazing product was the perfect ventilation solution. Installation was easy requiring no modifications or expensive cut-outs and it costs nothing to operate because it uses sunlight. Best of all, I get a 30% Federal Tax Credit with it. Comfort with an attic fan and money back too? It’s the best deal I’ve ever had.
