Spice Avenue
Santa Barbara CA
"This place has a good ambiance and excellent service. The food also is pretty good. I usually have been here for the buffet and thats always been good. But after a couple of visits you get bored with the same stuff.. If they refreshed their buffet menu a little i would give them a 5 star."

Montecito Wine Bistro

"The Wine Bistro serves high-quality food and provides a nice evening-time atmosphere. The food is expensive, but the portions are generous to say the least. Expect attentive service and great food. "

United States Postal Service
Post Offices
Santa Barbara CA
"This PO has an excellent staff, parking, automated machine, lobby all night. BUT USPS cost cutting is ruining it. They have closed the mail pickup window for oversize packages, overseas mail, vacation hold, etc. The staff does NOT use the lockers for this type mail for box holders often as they should. Closing the pickup window is false economy: hundreds of customers have to wait in line for their mail at the sales windows, holding up them AND the people buying and shipping at the windows. Literally thousands of person-hours are wasted by forcing pickup customers to wait in the sales line, AND the staff has much more work to do, too much. It is a very poor cost-cutting measure. I would be more than willing to pay more postage to resume that position and keep the po's open as much as they used to be, now many have cut their hours way back. GOOD PO within the dumb cost-cutting measures. Would have been 4 star before. marques"
