I have been going to Burg for years when we had a terrible experience with another dentist after our long-time dentist retired. One of my kids was terrified of having his teeth touched - he needed a few cavities filled. Dr. Boren was excellent working with him. He spent time and was very gentle with my son and now his fear for the dentist has disappeared. This was a few years back, but my kids are excited to visit the dentist - my 7 year old has been asking for the last few weeks when her next appointment is. Never had a bad experience in all the years my kids have been patients.

My families (toddler to teenager) experience has been outstanding! The staff is always warm and welcoming. We moved to California for a while but still made sure to schedule dental appointments at this location when we'd come back to visit family.

This was the worst, the office people were friendly, however the hygienist Maria say's "if your not good I will give you a shot" when we walked into the room & it went down hill from there. My daughter was weary of her that everything she picked up was a needle. She was crying and told her it hurt a couple of times and Maria says if you keep crying wolf then I won't know when I really hurt you. She took x-rays and she yelled at her that if she did not listen to her then it would take a lot longer and she had a lot more patients to see, she also said that if she screamed that she would scare everyone else in there. Another bad experience with another hygienist. I wish I could give it -10 stars!!!!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Dr. Don Boren shouldn't be allowed to work with children. My five year old son began to struggle with the contraption holding his mouth open and Dr. Boren dealt with that by screaming in his face and getting the assistants to hold him down. My child was screaming and thrashing and the Dr. Boren continued to scream at him. We left with his fillings unfinished and blood dripping off his face. When a five year old freaks out, I expect a PEDIATRIC dentist to comfort and calm him NOT scream at him and restrain him. If you love and adore your kids, please keep them away from this man. He doesn't belong working with kids.

Dr. Robert Nelson, also with Burg, is amazing. I don't like rating the group negatively because of one horrible doctor. There are other talented and kind doctors in the group, but Dr. Don Boren isn't one of them. This experience has ruined the dentist, which can be traumatic without the experience my son had, for my sweet boy. We took him to Dr. Nelson today and he freaked again, his trigger being the gas nose piece. We will have to sedate him going forward and that terrifies me.

I posted on Facebook and had another mother reach out to me with a similar experience with Dr. Boren. Her feeling is that he's trying to move as many kids through as possible and that money, and NOT kids, are his focus and I agree. Please consider this post when making your choice on a dentist for your child.

Terrible. Just terrible. My insurance is on their paperwork. My name is the only one they have for a responsible party that they can send a bill to, yet they proceeded to allow my ex husband to make an appointment for my kids.

This is after I specifically told them not to make any appointments with him. I shouldn't have to tell them not to schedule an appointment with someone they can't send a bill to, but I did tell them just to be sure because I know offices don't typically think twice when it's another parent. I was told they would notate my account. That never happened.

I know I am not the only single parent to have had much much trouble with my exhusband paying his portion of the bills when the insurance doesn't cover the full amount.

I can not have burg pediatric making appointments with him and then sending me a bill when he doesn't pay. I was upset when I found out they had done that.

I reminded them that they were not supposed to do that and the woman at the front desk who answered the phone accused me of yelling at her. She got snippy with me and told me she wasn't the one who made the appointment.

I was not yelling at her, but I certainly was upset and wanted to know what happened. Guess that's just rude behavior. How dare I? Then she basically told me I should just pay whatever because that's what parents who care about their kids do.

My kids had small cavities, they were not urgent and they were not in any pain. I was trying to work something out with my exhusband, and I needed burg to cooperate and not schedule any app with him until that happened and I gave them the ok. That is not asking them to resolve anything for me. That is not asking them for help or advice. That is simply notifying them of a situation and making sure they don't make an app with someone they shouldn't.

She told me she didn't want to be in the middle of me and my ex husband. Nobody asked her to be in the middle of anything. Again I did ask her not to make any appointments with him which should be a no brainer and has nothing at all to do with my relationship with my ex and is not something that puts her in the middle.

What kind of office just takes appointments from whomever? Especially when they were specifically asked not to make an appointment with a very specific individual. I explained to them why I did not want him making appointments even though I shouldn't have to..

By making that appointment, burg put themselves in the middle. By calling me a bad parent if I don't just pay a bill I can't afford for an appointment I didn't make they put themselves in the middle.

As far as I'm concerned Burg pediatric and their receptionist put themselves in the middle of a situation they were never asked to be a part of by not following simple directions and by not doing the right thing.

The way that receptionist talked to me was unacceptable. She may have said it with a smile, but she was a complete disgrace. A disgusting human.

I am livid and I will be taking my kids somewhere where the staff can follow simple basic instructions and where they don't insult people and stick their noses in the middle of situations that don't concern them.

The receptionist at burg is like the oblivious stewardess in Meet the Parents. "sir, I'm going to have to ask you not to yell." What?
