Pediatric Care
Dr. Na provides primary eye care and focuses on ocular disease, routine and specialty contact lenses exams, vision therapy, refractive surgery co-management, and pediatrics. He has extensive experience treating conjunctivitis, bacterial infections, ulcerations, corneal abrasions, and eye diseases pertaining to diabetes, steroid use, dry eye treatment, foreign body removal, hypertension, and Lyme disease, to name a few.
Primary Care
Diabetes and hypertension are both very common diseases, and many affected patients have complications that involve their vision. Poor circulation or damage to blood vessels due to these diseases will damage circulation in the eye, potentially leading to swelling, bleeding, development of scar tissue, and retinal detachment. Dr. Na and Dr. Luo closely monitor diabetic and hypertensive patients and work with their primary care doctors to make sure the disease is successfully managed. If severe complications arise, patients are referred to a nearby trusted retinal specialist for treatment.

The doctors at 20/20 Optometry treat patients suffering from a large variety of eye conditions, including dry eyes, glaucoma, eye diseases related to diabetes, hypertension, and Lyme disease.
Macular Degeneration
A low vision consultation can be performed to patients who are visually impaired and generally legally blind in one or both eyes. A person is considered legally blind if one eye has 20/200 visual acuity or worse even with corrective lenses. A person can be born with reduced vision or a person can acquire low vision via injury or an eye disease (i.e. macular degeneration). Many times there is no traditional lens treatment or surgical treatment that can help these patients.
Laser Eye Surgery
Corneal Reshaping Therapy is frequently a good option for nearsighted individuals who are too young for LASIK surgery or for some other reason are not good candidates for vision correction surgery. Because it can be discontinued at any time without permanent change to the eye, people of any age can try the procedure, as long as their eyes are healthy.
Cataracts
Why should you be interested in myopia control? Because slowing the progression of myopia may keep your child from developing high levels of nearsightedness that require thick, corrective eyeglasses and have been associated with serious eye problems later in life, such as early cataracts or even a detached retina.
Cataract Surgery
In early stages, our office recommends eyeglasses to mitigate the effects of cataracts. We monitor the progression of the disease closely and refer patients for cataract surgery when it reaches a more severe stage. Cataract surgery is one of the most common surgeries, and it is performed as an outpatient procedure at 20/20 Optometry. Given no complications, patients are seeing much better by the very next day. Following the procedure, we help manage patientsâ€™ post-operative recovery.
Eye Exam
The American Optometric Association and the American Medical Association now recommend that children begin their first eye examination by age 9 months. It is important that the children see their pediatrician and eye doctors too. The pediatrician will look at the general health of the eyes but will not look at muscle imbalance and prescription problems.

Autism
Visual problems are very common in individuals with autism and Vision Therapy activities can be used to stimulate general visual arousal, eye movements, and the central visual system. To learn more visit covd.org.
Multiple Sclerosis
Vision can be compromised as a result of neurological disorders or trauma to the nervous system (such as, traumatic brain injuries, stroke, whiplash, developmental delays, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, etc.).
