        This is by far the most reputa...

        This is by far the most reputable shop I've run across in the San Rafael Area. Debra is the proud owner of this excellent business and runs it well. Her no nonsense approach to my car's well being is very much appreciated. I don't know what this other reviewer is talking about, but my experience with this shop has always and will forever be 100% excellent. I highly recommend it if you ever need anything done on your vehicle, maintenance or otherwise!

        Not a great experience

        Just trying to share my experience with Marin Vehicle Repair. I needed a new starter motor and asked them to replace it. The first price they quoted for the part ($350) was so outrageously marked up, I had to begin calling around myself. Found a part for $125 and they still marked it up $60. Then to add insult to injury the car did not start the next day. I had it towed back to Marin Vehicle Repair. They found the problem, it was their mistake, but they would not pay the $75 towing charge for their mistake.

        So to summarize - expensive and overall not a good experience.
