Bunz Gourmet Burgers

As a professional culinarian eating at restaurants can be a callenge because I understand the dynamics of food, and what is involved in the preparation, and presentation. Understanding these dynamics makes me a hard critic, but I must say Bunz has passed the test. I was cpmpletely taken aback by the bun and cheese selection they provide for the customer to build an epic burger, the dedication of the grill chefs providing complete quality standards in every hand composed burger....the only thing missing was a nice slice of gourmet cheesecake

After the first 2 trips to this new place i was sure it would be added to one of my favorite places to get a burger. They say the third time is a charm??? NOT SO. Cashier acted like she wanted to be anyplace but behind the counter. Not even a hello.......compared to the first visits when the two cooks were energetic and friendly and welcoming. (I believe they were the owners). If you want your business to survive you need to be consistent. On arrival the tables were dirty and the trash bin...........well you didn't even want to touch it to throw your trash away when you were done eating. Ordered a hot dog and was told they didn't have any hot dog buns and so it was served on a HUGE Kaiser bun. No mustard, no relish, no onions.....just a naked hot dog. Don't think I will be going back and will NOT recommend it to my fellow San Pedro friends. :-(

I've been to this family owned burger spot a couple times now and every single time was a great experience. The atmosphere is great, there is relaxing music playing in the background, and everyone is always nice and welcoming. There are so many good things to choice from, so I always have a hard time deciding what to order and I have made the decision to try a different burger everytime I go. I love the different types of "bunz" you can choose from: brioche, pretzel, sweet bun, onion, regular, and wheat. The different meat patty options are great as well and good for those who prefer other optiins other than the regular. The meat patty options are a special blend of beef, chicken, turkey, or veggie. The best ones so far is the Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich and The Big Texas Burger. They were amazingly delicious and juicy. I have recommended this to all my friends and family and anyone else that loves burgers. They even have things like chicken strips, tacos, chili cheese fries, hot dogs, chili cheese dogs, onion rings, fried pickles, and even kids meals. The prizes are great and all the sandwiches come with fries! This is a visit you won't regret, I promise!!!

AMAZING!!! I had the Big Texas Burger and The Cali Cheese Steak and the were great! The bun was nice and soft and the burger was a juicy combination of ground beef and ground steak. The steak on the cheese steak was cooked perfectly. The fries were fresh cut and the fried pickles were the best ever!! I would definitely recommend this place to everyone1

I've been to a lot of burger joints but this place by far is epic!!, they even have fried pickles...and the burgers OMG!!! I tasted something different in the meat, I could eat here every day , it's worth the wait , and the family owned atmosphere is like sitting in your living room and the staff Is cool, funny and family,I could eat every burger on the menu, I had the fried pickles whoa!!, you gotta get here yourself, they close at 9, I wished they would stay open 24 hrs that's my only problem, the next time I go I'm getting he fried pickles again, they are awesome!!!, a little hole in the wall who would of guessed it would be so good I'm glad San Pedro got a place like this , way better than the counter and all those other places ...good luck in N out competition is called BUNZ!
