We were under a 3 day deadline to have a resume created for a specific job and this individual knew this. We sent him the outdated resume, gave him our credit card number, and then never heard from him again. Did not return any of our 10 calls or numerous emails. VERY DISAPPOINTED and had to find another writer at last minute. I think the reviews on here are self-inflated! Do NOT recommend.

Worth a drive across the Bay
I had to drive across the bridge to visit Shimmering Resumes but a friend suggested it and I am glad he did. Paul spent two hours with me, uncovering details about my background that I had forgotten. The result was a resume that makes me feel better about myself. His counseling to get me ready for job interviews was even more useful. This has been one of my best service experiences in years.

If you want to get better at finding a new job, then this is the business for you. I started out with just the resume service. I loved the result. All of a sudden I was getting calls. But then I realized I really should improve my interviewing skills so I called Shimmering and added the Interview Coaching. The fellow was so helpful in our session that I came away a lot more confident and I feel that I'm an interviewing expert now. And I decided right then and there to get his Job Search Strategy Service, too. I'm meeting with him weekly or more or less as I need and I feel like I'm making sure my resume is getting the best use possible. My job search was dead before I started working with Shimmering Resumes. I had tried using The Ladders and spent more than Shimmering but the result was insulting treatment. This is a local Bay Area business that cares. Order the best. It's your career, after all.

Best gift my career has had
I needed job search advice. I knew that there had to be new techniques for finding a job since I last had to look about 15 years ago. I figured I would waste months figuring out the techniques for myself so I decided to take a friend's advice and use Shimmering Resumes. I suggest you do the same. This is basically a one-man business and Paul is as helpful as they come. He wrote my resume from scratch, and then worked with me week in and week out with my job search strategy. There is a happy ending as I took a new job a few days ago. I happen to be in sales and marketing but I would trust Paul with a resume on anything. Thanks Shimmering Resumes. Keep up the good work!

A New Job with a Better Boss and a Raise
When I lost my job in the recession last year, I floundered for a couple of months and got depressed. My self-created resume was getting me nowhere and I was getting really worried. I had to stop the business travel
I was on a business trip for the fifth time in 2 months for my company. I was sitting in the lobby of the hotel feeling tired of the business travel and pondering what kind of job could free me from this travel.
