Unfortunately I couldn't give the property managers here credit If I tried. My wife has been here for close to 8 years now, and I myself have been here for about 6 years. (This would be at the Park Royal Apartments in San Mateo.)
The property does not have a live in manager which I believe is necessary with 70+ Units, the landscape has improved very little through the years yet everytime we renew a lease it goes up $100 + everytime, This lastime it was even more than the 10% thats allowed in our county... I had a light fixture fall onto my car and was made out to be a liar until I provided the manager with sufficient evidence and reported it to my insurance.. Everything seemed to be fine up until recently when we were notified that we made a late payment back in 2007. (Mind you, its 2011)
My wife had argued that it was never brought up and they could not provide us with ANY information and continued to say that we also made a late payment in May which we were not notified about. We were asked to pay in cashiers checks and refused based on the evidence and time frames. Eventually it was resolved through raising hell and telling them our end of the "story."
We will be leaving as soon enough but I thought I should inform the public of this companys practices. I truly feel like we are being targeted for an incident where a light fixture fell onto my car and they were found responsible by my insurance. It could be poor timing but whatever the case may be I still would never live in any complex they own period!
