We tried Luceti's after reading a positive review on this website. We were very optimistic, but horribly disappointed with the food and service. Our meals were on par with chef Boyardee and Hamburger Helper. I even had the gnocchi with Bolognese as suggested by another reviewer. Also, the waitress was obviously preoccupied by her regular customers. We had to get her attention every time we needed anything. Lucetis is a big thumbs down!

Excellent bolognese

One of my favorite places, this family owned restaurant always makes you feel at home. The gnocci with bolognese is the best I've ever had. The kitchen loads up your plate like a good Italian mother would, you're not going home hungry when you eat here.

This is definetely one of those places who's business depends on their regular patrons. I've dined their twice and often look around to find that this is a huge favorite with the senior crowd in San Mateo. You get the feeling that most people have dined their for years... The food is good but nothing to write home about and the service is a bit inconsistent.
