Silvergate San Marcos & Fallbrook Retirement & Alzheimers Care

I moved my mother here a little more than 6 months ago. The staff let's me know when anything is off with mom. Everyone from the front desk - Gerri, to the nurse Dennis and Melba the Administrator let me know if something has happened or if she has any new need, and how they've handeled the situation. She is SO HAPPY here, it's hard to get ahold of her on her on the phone because she's out playing cards or something. She's never in her apartment. The activity staff reminds her when something is coming up or if she's missing from an activity they call her to come- Liz and Lorraine are Great! She was at a much larger community prior to coming here, and she seemed to 'fall through the cracks' there. She seems to be more involved at this community also. She was messing up on taking her medications, and not always following the doctors orders at the other community, but now the staff at Silvergate are helping her with her medications, and to my surprise she didn't balk at having them take over the ordering and giving them to her at the right time. She actually seems to be doing much better when she got on their services. I also like that everyone seems to know my mother by name. She's happy and that makes me happy, and I don't worry about her when she's there. I highly reccomend Silvergate for anyone! I want to move in... but not for a few years.
