Dr. Andy Ichord is the best vet ever; very caring and friendly, . He really treats our Lucy as if she were his. Dr. Ichord listens to everything we have to say about any problems with our pet. And, he checks her thoroughly. Takes his time, never rushes; explains everything he is going to do. Staff checks you in quickly; have never had a problem with waiting long time. Prices are so reasonable, too. We have been to other vets in San Marcos and would never go back to either of them. Been going here for about 4 years and wouldn't think of going anywhere else.

I took my healthy German Shepherd puppy to be spayed by Dr. Hosking. He KILLED her. Yes she died and he lied. I was referred by family and friends. Such a great vet if you can look past his sloppy appearance and the wait time. I did both because of his good reviews. My life will forever be changed because of that traumatic phone call which is such a simply surgery. I arrived at his office at 8;45. Lobby was full and Dr. Hosking came out and called Shelby around 9:15. He took her temp. and checked her heart. He said she had a very strong heart. Wednesday was the day they spay from 12 till 3. Pick up at 3. I called at 2:30 to see if she was ready fro pickup. Receptionist told me she would be ready in 30 minutes. I had a necropsy by a specialist. She was healthy, he said he did CPR for an hour. Necropsy says never done. Said she died when he put her on her back. Not true she was gone when he made incision. no more space to continue. bad vet! Miss her!

We took our 10 year old Honey because of some paw allergies she has been having for a very long time. Dr. Ichord was very professional and took the time to answer all my questions and concerns. Would definitely recommend him again. Thank you for getting my Honey squared away

If you care for your pet stay away from this joint. This place has the rudest staff and the wait time is ridiculous. My appointment was sat at 10:45. Around noon I told the receptionist that I had been waiting a while. Her response "Oh well, there are people waiting since 9am". My dog was very sick so I decided to wait longer. I was called back around 1:45, the nurse took my dog's temperature and left me in the room for another 30min. I was so upset by this time that I went out to the reception area to complain but there was no one there. I couldn't do it anymore so I left with my sick dog. I will never ever come here again. This place is disgusting! The vet is worse than his unprofessional staff. Someone recommended the place because it was "cheap". Cheap is exactly what this place and staff are. I should have known better.

Do not use this Vet! We took our dog to him for an ear infection problem. Dr. Ichord looked at her and prescribed a medication called Tri-otic ointment. We applied the med according to his instructions. Our dog is now totally deaf! He told us she was deaf because of the infection. He lied. I checked on the internet and this product has a clear warning that giving this product to older dogs can cause deafness. He NEVER told us that. We trusted him to do the right thing. If he had told us we would never have given it to her! He knew that she was an older dog but he still gave it to her! Now we have a deaf dog and we are heartbroken. Dr. Ichord is not the caring, honest Vet everyone says he is!

By far the best family vet in the area. Honest, fair prices and a wonderful staff!!! Dr Ichord is amazing!!!
