The Detail:

Bought a dining room table from Jerome’s of San Marcos in October. They delivered it scratched which I did not see until the next day. Arranged to have it replaced after having to make several phone calls. They deliver the table but leave me with the old leaf telling me it’s fine. It isn’t. Find out when I go to use it for the holidays that it doesn’t fit the new table properly. Make yet another appointment for someone to show up just to say they can’t do anything with it. Supposedly getting a replacement. At the last minute, they cancel saying they don’t have the legs and hardware. Schedule for the following week. Again, last minute cancellation saying that the one they have left is damaged. Several more phone calls for them to offer me a pittance of a refund or replace the table that I have already spent a bunch of money decorating around because it turns out, they’ve discontinued the one I have.

If you want to make a million phone calls, be on hold forever, not get a return call, miss a bunch of work, and not get the furniture that you paid for, by all means, shop at Jerome’s

Otherwise, I respectfully suggest that you go somewhere else, ANYWHERE else.

Our trip to Jeromes in San Marcos was a pleasure. We were greated just inside the door by Steve Banks of the Sales Staff who had shown a sofa set to my GF earlier in the day. Once we started looking around at other sofa sets, Steve was very professional, no pressure, yet there to help if we had questions. Our needs we pretty specific and we were able to find exactly what we were looking for with Steve’s help. We are very happy with our choice and can not say enough about the experience at Jeromes in San Marcos. If your ever in there make sure you ask for Steve Banks.

Amazing experience at Jeromes today. My family and I were planning on buying a couch for our new apartment and my Salesman Ricky went above and beyond to help us design our living room space. We ended up purchasing our sofa, coffee table, and accessories for a great bundle price! We will be back for sure to finish furnishing our apartment.

Our sales representative, Lisa was very helpful in helping my wife and I select the best and perfect furniture for our home. She's very customer service orient. Such great personality and Don also was very informative and clarified the protection plan....thanks so much Jeromes

San Marcos Furniture Store reviews - watch out for these guys - very bad service and no remorse for their bait and switch tactics! I purchased a firm bed from the store and what they delivered to me from their furniture store in San Marcos was nothing like it. It was so firm, I am in pain!. People should know that the bed firmness in the store is nothing like what you will get. Problem is if they deliver it, they won't take it back even if you don't sign or are made aware of this fact!

It took 5 calls 3 days, a revisit to the store,
dealing with a smug, arrogant manager, before they finally decided they would honor what we purchased. This was after my wife was threatened by the delivery guy to pay or they wouldn't take it. He said a new law was I place. Sure is Jan 1, 2016. Problem for them is we had ours delivered Dec 31 before the law was in effect. Sad the Jeromes is such a poor company. Jerry and all his commercials of honesty and service are simply not true. Jerry you lost a long-time loyal customer and I will advocate for and use any other store instead of yours!
Their reputation marketer called & asked me what happened. He clearly didn't bother to read my review at all. Just goes to show you the very poor level of customer service they provide. Ridiculous!

Very disappointed with their customer service team. We purchased a special order sofa on 11/5/16 and guess what? Still no sofa! Our salesperson said it would take two weeks and now they are saying five weeks. They have no remorse and could care less how long you have been without your furniture! Unfortunately we had to put a 25% non refundable deposit down on our sofa or we would cancel and purchase from someone who actually cares! Buyer beware.
