I can't say enough positive stuff about AJ Sewing Machines and Jeanette in particular. While she was at Ray's Sewing Center she patiently gave a class on or computer machines with a LOT of ladies attending. She is the most patient and articulate person, so very encouraging. Now that she is in her own shop I can get to her for help in much less time for anything at all. she gave me 2 days of instruction on my serger (Assured me it isn't "posessed", it's just a serger!). She is a fabulous teacher, is very friendly and warm, and really REALLY knows her stuff about so many different machines. She also is what I would call an expert on many things "sewing" including making or adapting patterns and all things quilting. Her place is small but quite welcoming and cozy. she is still building up inventory and inventing places/ways to display it all. She has a very good selection of accessories to choose from as well as a lot of different machines. I look forward to the fabric when she starts getting it in. I can't recommend her and her shop enough. You will NOT be disappointed!
I needed sewing classes to learn how to use my sewing machine i inherited. So I went here where the shop is really warm and inviting! And the teacher there gives very clear, detailed instructions and went with my pace. Super nice. The cool thing is they also sell machines and trade-in and repair if i need to with my machine and have a selection of feet and machine supplies 2 choose from to help me get started. I am looking forward to my next class.
I have been doing business with the Sewing Machine Center for over 20 years. The service has always been outstanding and the staff is very friendly and helpful. If you need anything to do with sewing machines or vacuum cleaners, this is the place to go!
