I was honestly surprised to read other reviews that said Papa John's et al were as good as Round Table. They are not! Round Table is giving you significantly better quality but they are charging top prices as well. I like their pizza, but I consider it a treat. $25+ for extra large.

I read a review of one member who characterized Round Table Pizza as ""the only reason californians like this pizza is because they've never tried anything else"". Well let me tell you something, I have tried pizza in just about every region in the United States(USAF) for 8 years; and I'll tell you Round Table ranks very high for overall quality and taste. Crust-better than New york--Toppings and sauce--better than Chicago-- Overall, slice for slice they have one best pizza's being made.

We left Palo Alto 17 years ago, and I STILL remember the good time and great food all the City employees had after work at Round Table. I also still remember their uproariously funny promotion years ago of ""I'm HELPING..."" by a new employee dolt, to advertise their ingredients freshness. Round Table is great! Go and enjoy a great time, whether romantic, family, group, or for just fun!

The crust boasts the taste of freezer burn while the cheese and meats, if you can find any on your pizza, combine the fresh smell of road kill with chemical flavors sure to please even the most discerning native california palette. Round table is among the very worst pizza's I've ever tasted, if not claming the throne of the worst-ever. The only explaination I can find is that Round Table is supported by native californian's who have never tasted pizza from any other part of the country. You don't need to travel to Chicago or New York to find better pizza than this--you need only scape off the grime from the bottom of your fridge and smear it on a piece of toast to rise an order of magnitude above what Round Table can offer. Try Cicero's for a pizza in the bay area you can actually eat.
