I had some gold jewelry that I've inherited that I wanted to sell. So I called around various gold and silver dealers in an effort to get the best price. On more than one occasion I was quoted a very good price over the phone to get me into their stores and then they'll find an excuse not to give you that price or change units of measure on you. For example I would ask for a quote in $ per grams over the phone, they would reply with a great price and then when you walk in the store they tell you the price quote was for one penny weight not grams. So walking into R & J Jewerly & Loan, I was very leery of a repeat performance to say the least. But it didn't take me long to realize that this place was very fair and the people professional. All the gold karat content testing was done in front of me and got good vibes from the people working there. The price they quoted over the phone was the price they paid me.

After watching Pawn Stars on TV I decided to find my local pawn shop and take out a loan there. I took in my Laptop, Omega Seamaster Watch, Playstation3 and one of my Wife's gold rings for some cash. I'm not working right now and haven't been for 2 months since our company was bought out. I really needed about $700 for house bills and some groceries. When I walked into this pawn shop I thought I was in the wrong place, R & J is really really nice inside with beautiful floors and modern showcases. The person that helped me is named NIAMAJ and he started off by asking me how much I needed and if I wanted to sell my items or get loans on them. I told him that I wanted loans so I could get my stuff back and that I needed $700-$1000 dollars for all my items. He proceeded to evaluate my electronics while he had a young lady look at my wife's ring. We negotiatied a bit and settled on $750.00 loaned for everything. It was a little more than I needed and a lot more than I thought I would get. In the end I was very happy with the kind and respectful way I was treated. I am very comfortable leaving my valuables here because I know they will be cared for and handled with respect. I wish I would have discovered R & J Pawn Shop sooner, they helped me and I am thankful for them being there.
