Terrible food and service at exorbitant prices

I had selected this restaurant to celebrate my wife's birthday. We live in Fremont but decied to go all the way to San Jose to try out a place we had never visited before. \r When making reservations the person asked me if this was going to be a special event , and I did tell him the occasion that we were celebrating.\r The reservations were for 6 people for 7pm. Not recommended!!! Inattentive service!! Poor management!!

I love eating at restaurants, typically ones that are hospitable and upper causal. I don?t mind spending money for my entrees, but I have my limits! Sorry Service

Sickness and not worth $$$

Yes, it can happen anywhere, but for us it happened here. My boyfriend was ill from his fish dish. Lots of cramping and throwing up. I had a different dish and was fine. The food was mediocre and definitely not worth the price, even without the sickness. Pick a different restaurant. Nearby, we liked E & O Trading company and Azucar.

I joined citysearch just to write a review of McCormick and Schmicks...

We went to McCormick & Schmicks this weekend for my husband's birthday. Our reservations were for 5:30, buyt we arrived shortly after 5:00. Great Experience

We saw this restaurant when walking by the Fairmont. Everyone loved their meal, along with the diverse wine list and dessert menu. I had the salmon stuffed with crab, incredible. It doesn't make sense that such a good restaurant would be so empty... perhaps its the location.

I've been here twice and the service is always great. The food, however, is average. I've had the popcorn shrimp, clam chowder, and salmon penne and the dishes were mediocre. There's nothing special about the seafood dishes. The restaurant and bar itself is gorgeous and the staff are friendly.
