Average Korean BBQ

I have no idea how this place has such a high rating. It really just is an average Korean BBQ place in terms of taste, quality, and service. Specifically, I found the marinade to be a little watered down. The sweet flavor was there, but there wasn't enough of it. They also use gas as opposed to true charcoal - charcoal will give the meat a much better flavor. Unfortunately, I haven't found any spectacular places in the South Bay. My point of reference is various Korean BBQ restaurants in Oakland and San Francisco.\r You can still find better AND worse Korean BBQ places out there.

The Best!

I've been eating here since I was a little girl, first brought here by my parents and now I come and bring my friends along. The best Korean food around. Great prices and a great asian Korean family atmosphere that invites all cultures. It's almost like being back in Korea with an menu that has expanded to inlcude some Japanese food... The place is always clean, the owner always kind...the servers always willing to joke around and help me with my Korean. I've never had a bad experience personally...and even if I did, I'd STILL go back for the food.

Poor service and bad management

I asked for a booth so the manager asked a guy to clean up the table but for next 10 minutes no one cleaned up the table. Finally, one guy cleaned up the table and seated a couple who just entered the restaurant from the back door. I waited another 10 minutes before I sat down and ordered a BBQ dish, which is always served with green vegitables. They brought out the BBQ and informed me that they would bring the vegitables asap. Then I waited for another 10 minutes watching my meat dish get cold. Then I told the manager that I was waiting for the vegies and he went to the kitchen. I waited another 5 minutes. At this point, the food was cold. Finally the waitress came and told me that they were washing the vegitables at that moment. I asked for a check and walked out.

Just amazing asian food! The marinated variety of table BBQs are fantastic. In addition, there are more than 150 asian dishes you can choose. Although the restaurant offered good food and service, the noise level is a bit high wherever the fan for the table BBQ was turned on. Overall, definitely one of the best, if not the best, Korean Restaurants in the Bay Area.
