Dr Dufford is an excellent doctor and I am quite lucky to find him. He is not part of my insurance network. But I still go to him. I am seeing Dr Dufford for last 1 year for treatment on Panic Attacks, Agoraphobia & OCD. Since starting therapy I made significant progress. To give an idea - a year back my state was some one suffering for few years, was out of job for multiple years, unable to go out of home beyond a mile without support person, unable to drive on own due to fear of panic attacks and some periods unable to go even outside house. Contrast this to now - Last month I joined a fast growing company as a full time employee. The location is 15 miles from my house. I don't have any of my prior fears whether it is driving/going for hair cut/meeting friends/eating outside/doing job/shoping etc. I don't know what this means for others but for me it is a 2nd chance in life. Don't you think? I am lucky to find Dr Dufford and feel grateful to him. He has vast experience with treating anxiety related problems. One aspect that I did not anticipate was that his treatment would go beyond and fundamentally change me to be a better person, develop fulfilling relations, inner perspectives etc. I cannot emphasize enough in words how much difference this makes. I believe, this latter part is more to do with Dr Dufford nature and approach. Dr Dufford approach is very gentle and he has lots and lots of patience. His mp3's are a great complement to therapy and I listen to them fairly frequently. There were multiple times in last year when I reached out to him outside session hours because I found it difficult to wait until next session. Sometimes it was late in the night. He was always available and always helpful. This also made a huge difference in my recovery as it provided tremendous confidence (i.e., I have someone I can fallback for help) in facing my fears. Most of my therapy with Dr Dufford is on phone because at first, I was not able to go to his office even with a support person. The phone sessions worked so well for me that I just continued on phone even after I recovered. To all reading this review, if you/your loved one is suffering with illness like above, having seen the difference Dr Dufford and his therapy made in my (and family) life, I cannot emphasis enough this... PLEASE seek professional medical help. There is light at the end of the tunnel!!!. It may be hard to believe if you are in the midst, but know this...you WILL come out and also as much BETTER person than when you went into the tunnel. I wish you good luck!!! -Sri

I have used the blood donation services of the American Red Cross since I joined the U.S. Air Force back in 1969. Over the five (5) past decades, I have never had so much as a single bad cookie, let alone a bad experience with a blood donation. Last October 2011 my wife and I were on our 40st Anniversary celebration by cruising up to Alaska when during breakfast of the second day a ship-wide announcement of need for anyone with A+ blood and a Red Cross card. I was there in two minutes, as were dozens of other people. Many of us were screened, a few gave blood while the rest of us waited; 5 pints brought the person through. The wife and daughter of the person in need came out to thank us, but initially broke down in tears when then they saw the dozens and dozens of us sitting in chairs, on the floor, and up the stairs to the next floors. That was enough gratitude to make ME appreciate the VALUE of that little white card I always carry in my wallet. What do you carry in your pocket? Better be a Red Cross card - could save your life! So, how many "STARS" is a life worth? I never knew this person on this ship. He and his family were the first to be whisked off to the hospital at the first Port of Call, so never got to meet him, know his name. Nonetheless, any person's life is worth 5 stars! Hope you agree.
Depression meds were working but my internal life contradictory and generally unsatisfactory. 10 sessions with Dr Dufford and there is a distinct improvement. From 40% "OK" to 65% "OK" and optimistic. Changing thought patterns takes work over time. His MP3 guided meditations for home use were surprisingly effective. Practical, not touchy-feely. I even broke through the nail biting habit after 60-some years. He paid attention to what I said and seemed to have a deep bucket of approaches to suggest in dealing with specific habits, thoughts, or unwanted feelings. A good guy. Easy to talk to. I recommend him.
