YOU FOUND IT! ... An HONEST, TRUSTWORTHY, KNOWLEDGEABLE and PROFESSIONAL Auto Repair Service! We LOVE this company! We have been using their services for many years now. They've tackled a wide variety of auto issues on our Corvette, Pontiac Grand Prix, Chevy Astro Van and my Sister-in-Law's Dodge Neon. In the Front Office there's Michael. What a PROFESSIONAL and CARING Office Manager. In addition, he's very KNOWLEDGEABLE, POLITE and knows how to treat a Customer right. He explains things thoroughly and in simple terms making it easy to understand your quote, repairs, etc. We've had a complete AAA bumper-to-bumper diagnostic analysis done on our vehicles. We took the laundry lists to Reliable Auto Repair to have them perform the actual repairs. After their review and inspection of AAA's reported problems, we were told by Reliable that some of the reported problems were unnecessary. As we trusted their judgement, expertise and workmanship, we went with their recommendations. As a result, this saved us hundreds of dollars! In my book, this is how trustworthiness is achieved ... it's earned! Reliable Auto has earned my trust. I know their honest. Their services are reasonable. Their mechanics are knowledgeable on a wide array of problems on a wide array of brands. Michael, the Office Manager is AWESOME! I trust the quality of their work. With respect to auto repairs, how many people feel the same way about theirs? Give them a try ... you'll be glad you did. John 3:16
I live in constant fear of being ripped off by car repair shops, but my experience at Michaels & Co was pleasant and ALL around 5 stars!!! This repair shop does it all!!! Bill was my service advisor. He was extremely helpful with making me feel comfortable knowing that my car was in good hands. My check engine light was on so, I left my car for them to check out and get back to me with an estimate. He checked it out, and called me with an estimate half of what the dealer gave me. I wasn't pressured into any of the recommended repairs by warnings of imminent road disasters, like I have at other shops. The prices and labor costs seemed fair. He even told me that a few of the parts were optional at this time even saving me more money. He made me feel very comfortable about spending my money. Thanks Bill!!! I DEFNITELY KNOW WHERE ILL BE TAKING MY CARS FOR REPAIR!!! They also offer shuttle service in case you need a ride back home or to work. The service is fabulous and they are an honest company. It’s hard to find a good Auto repair shop that won’t rip you off these days. Try Michaels & CO, you will not regret it!
"The difference"! They work WITH you. I was always reluctant to take my cars for repair or service because Dealers always tried to "upsell" services. I know that's their job. However, Michael's will do the requested or needed repairs; the mechanics go over the whole car and the writers let me know if there are future repairs. It is more a plan of action. It speaks volumes when Michael's mechanics have been with him so long. They take the time to communicate with you and show you what's going on during particular diagnostics. It built my confidence in their abilities and they've educated me. This may sound trivial but, over the last 17 years I have driven in with a nail in a tire or light bulb out & they fix it on the spot with a nice greeting and send me on my way. I've had 3 new cars and taken all of them because the service writers are detailed, informative and courteous.
Executive Auto Glass is all types of awesome. I called looking for a pair of rear back windows for a s13 fastback, which are pretty dang rare these days. A lot of places were gonna charge $150 just for the installation, plus the price of the actual windows. I called Executive Auto Glass, based on the glowing reviews by my fellow yelpers, and googlers and a friendly lady answered the phone. I swear I must have called back at least five or six times with different questions about pricing, availability, etc. and she was very professional and helpful every time. The install only took an hour or so, and the friendly lady even took off $10 because I don't really know why til this day. Total damage for the glass and install = $190. Thats really a steal, considering the rarity of these windows and the prompt/professional service received. Great service, def support your local shop and check Executive Auto Glass out for all your glass needs!
"I was silly to have ignored the leak" It was only a drop at first so I didn’t think too much about it. The next day there was more than a drop on the garage floor, right below the left rear wheel. I didn’t have time to look more closely or else I would have noticed the drip on the inside of the tire. Later that morning I felt the brake go soft on the highway. Fortunately I wasn’t going too fast. I didn’t take chances but pulled over and called Willow Glen Automotive my regular auto garage. They sent one of their mechanics who said the brake cylinder was leaking and needed to be changed. I left the car to him. Later they called to say that they had changed the cylinder and done a complete brake service. They also warned me never to ignore strange leaks. I’m confident now that Willow Glen Automotive has checked the brake system. But did I have a scare on the highway?
GREAT SERVICE GREAT PRICE EFFICIENT WORK. We had our car glass smashed in and were looking for a place to repair it, we called Clear Vision Auto Glass in the early afternoon for a price quote and time estimate however chose to stay where we were for convenience. Big mistake... that guy took 3 hours gave us a run around and wasn't able to complete the job in the end. We called Executive Auto Glass at the end of the day on a Friday and they had the glass in stock and they sent a guy out to our house to put in the window. They were very helpful and super friendly as well as half the price of what other glass shops quoted me. Call them if you need something, they are very helpful, I called them about 5 different times before I booked my glass replacement with them the people there answered my every question very nicely..
I came to Platinum Autoworks and I had a few things done to my car. I not only upgraded the sound, but also added a little custom work to make my driving experience a little easier. Here is what I got done: I got a pioneer double din with navi installed in my civic by Patrick. He had to customize the dash in order to fit it in. It looks like it came from the manufacture! I also had a rear view camera installed as well. They took their time to make sure everything was done correctly, and I came out a happy customer! Pros: Great Customer Service Great Pricing Takes Credit Card Other services: Window Tinting Detailing Auto Glass Services Headlight restoration I highly recommend this shop! These guys are honest and their work is great! Thanks guys! I will definitely be coming back !
Hey, this guy was awesome. Charles did an excellent job with my car. Pretty fast guy too. I was first skeptic of this whole "mobile" mechanic stuff, but man it saves you time and money. He is very nice and honest. I'd recommend this guy to anyone who is trying to save money and time. Why drive to auto-shop when he can come to you. He isn't the typical mechanic, who will look at your problem, then take an hour break to get ready. He gets right to it and does it clean and fast. I'd definitely will be using his services again if I have any problems (lets hope I don't get any more problems, lols) FYI: My Corolla starter kept cranking even when I took out key, so he replaced it and now its working great. THANK YOU MOBILE AUTO WORKS!!
I took my Toyota Solara Convertible in for my 40K check. Skip personally recommended I do a Wheel Alignment to see if I needed to replace the original tires. As a result, I did indeed need all new tires based on the poor alignment that was discovered. I was in and out in a couple hours, the technicicans were extremely professional and courteous. Skip, himself was involved in the entire process. Although I was not too happy about having to replace all four tires on a relatively new vehicle, I am confident I was in the right hands and that all the folks involved were being honest and truthful about what I needed to do my driving safety. I would HIGHLY recommend Skip's Tire & Auto Centers for all of you service and tire needs.
Hi Everyone, I wanted to rate Diamond Auto Service. They are a new auto repair center off of Coleman Ave. I had driven up and down Coleman Ave for about a month now seeing the signs for oil change, specials, free car washes, etc. I finally made it down asbury street and stopping in for an oil change. Not only was the service fast my car was complimentary washed with my paid oil change and I have to say that it was the best car wash I have ever recieved. Not to mention the staff of Diamond Auto Service were very friendly and professional. I will definately be a repeat customer and I want to let others know this place is the best for quick service, friendly and knowlegable staff, great prices, and excellent service. Jean
There are more than 700,000 auto service technicians and mechanics in the U.S. Finding the right one to repair a dent in your car door or fix an engine that won't start can be overwhelming, especially when it's an emergency. Review a few important facts about auto repair professionals and what you can do to get the best possible mechanic working on your vehicle's issues for a fair price.
Looking For Reliability
Unlike home repair services that evaluate a property, meet with homeowners and have time to prepare before their physical work begins, auto repair businesses are often asked to make fixes on the spot. If you come into a garage with a tire issue, the expectation is the mechanic will know how to correct that problem quickly.
That is why reliability is so vital when searching for a trusted auto repair shop. It may take going to several different mechanics before you find one you are truly comfortable with. Pose questions to this professional to find out what approach they will take to repair your car or what alternatives are available. Shopping around also gives you the best opportunity to find the cheapest rate or the fastest service, as some garages may be backed up with other vehicles that need repair first.
A recommended way to locate a trustworthy auto repair professional is to seek out customer reviews. Online sites offer honest opinions from real customers who have used a business. Read through this feedback to learn how a business operates and what you can expect if you were to take your vehicle there. Look for reviews about how quick maintenance was completed and if prices were fair. By learning what other people have said about a garage, you can gain a better idea if it's the right place to go when you have a car problem in need of fixing.
It can be difficult to know which automotive problems are serious enough to require expert assistance. A ripped seat cushion or broken radio don't involve safety and will not warrant enough of a problem that going into a garage is required. However, setbacks with brakes, lights and other parts that are vital to the safety of your car's driver and passengers, as well as others on the road, necessitate quick fixes. Many modern automobiles will notify drivers of an issue, in the form of a signal on the dashboard or a noise within the vehicle.
In the event of an accident, even if your vehicle does not appear to have any damage on the outside, it is generally recommended that you see a trusted auto repair professional. Internal damage may have occurred, or an important part may have been knocked out of place. Fixing these issues before driving much further can prevent further vehicle breakdowns in the future. In the case of a serious accident, a body shop can assess the problems and determine the best course of action for repairs, as well as evaluate how much they will cost.
Beyond that, regular checkups are recommended. Tires must be rotated, fluids needs to be replaced and the engine must be evaluated. After driving 25,000 miles, most auto dealers suggest having the vehicle checked out to ensure everything is running smoothly. Taking the car into the auto repair professional you trust will protect you from further problems down the road.
Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop. At the same time, be aware of mechanic scams that can impact your experience.
Preventing Trips To The Professional
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage. By handling these types of tasks on your own, you'll gain a better understanding for how your car operates and save time and money.
Along with understanding how to fix manageable vehicle issues that may arise, taking preventative measures to avoid future problems is a valuable time saver. Many problem-solving best practices are related to the seasons. Your vehicle will be in different conditions in the winter than in the summer, meaning it requires a different type of preparation.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures the vehicle will be exposed to, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check your tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
There is a common worry among many people that auto repair professionals take advantage of the general public. Because so many people are unaware of how to fix the problems in their vehicle, they are nervous of being overcharged by mechanics or worried that the improper work is being done.
While the great majority of professionals in the industry are honest, hard-working people, a few bad apples can ruin everything. You should be extra careful when first visiting a mechanic to guarantee that the price you're charged and maintenance the vehicle receives are fair.
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you are in the shop and your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill.
The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done. That way, you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
By working closely with an auto repair professional and doing some of the tune-up work on your own, you will be less likely to fall for these scams. At the same time, you'll be able to drive out with a clean and healthy vehicle, thanks to the repairs made by a trained professional.
