I have been working with Mehva for over two years now, as part of a program to address back and neck pain and periodic numbness. Even though I see her just once a week, my core strength and flexibility have improved significantly and I no longer have problems with pain or numbness. (I exrecise as I can during the week, but my job makes it difficult to sustain a regular practice.) Mehva is patient and an extremely skilled observer of the body. I love the one-on-one attention because she can continually monitor my form and correct me when I'm not using the right muscles or have my body oriented the wrong way. I'm sure this is why I made fast progress in my first 6 months working with her. As a dancer and bodyworker of many years experience, Mehva understands both how the body should move and how it moves, or wants to move, when it is injured, so she has been great helping me to recover after a knee injury earlier this year, She teaches me exercises I can do on my own and in general is very responsive to my personal needs and lifestyle. I would highly recommend Mehva as a teacher. I also appreciate Mehva's kindness and good sense of humor. I really look forward to my lessons every week!
I was training for a half marathon, and throughout my training I developed a hip injury, I went Affordable Pilates at Body Moves Pilates and Mehva the instructor was great. She understood running is important to me. She is very easy to follow and she made my reabilitation fun and easy. She is very knowledgeable, I can say, that when I first started my hip range of motion was very limited and muscles extremely tight and constricted. She enabled me to not only work on my hip flexors, but my quads, my back and abs. I was able to streach muscles and work out areas of my body that I didn't know I had but were very instrumental in helping me develop and strengthen my body and better formulate myself a better running style. My training with her was not only fun and enjoyable, I was able to learn a lot about my body. Thanks to her and my pilates training I'm back on the training trail and I'm running again!!
