Couldn't agree more

Along the hi toric tretch of the cable car line infu ed California Street in Downtown SF between Front and Battery exi t a throng of fine re taurant choice one can elect from. My job i to make ure that people enjoy them elve , their meal and a range of wine election ...moreto compliment a gourmet filet or fi h entree. Once that piece i out of the way, the tone et, we get down to bu ine di cu ing different way to reduce expenditure from an IT infra tructure tandpoint. So I look for place that are going to make me look good. I’ve been to the fine e tabli hment uch a Aqua (when it wa around) and Tadich in the ame block, but my adventurou ide beckoned me to try omething new. And o, like the matriarch tomping up du t and leading the herd in Bot wana, I led a group of five into the unknown deme ne of Perbacco that I had only read about online. “Hello,” the ho te aid. “Re ervation?” I miled, aid, “I wa ju t telling the e five guy behind me how much better your monkfi h i a compared to tho e guy next door.” “So, no re ervation,” he aid with a mile. “Give me one econd.” I turned to the guy , offered a wink to indicate thing were under control. The waitre returned, cradling a clipboard like an infant in one arm. “I’ll have a table for you in fifteen. Perhap your friend would care for a drink at the bar while you wait?” Like Jack Colton trimming down overgrown talk in the Amazon with a machete in, “Romancing the Stone,” I carved a path through the uber trendy Thur day night dinner crowd, wiggled my elbow pa ed the back of two women in cocktail dre e to the bar top. I ordered ix Pro ecco’ to accommodate a toa t, tole a glance from the beauty to right peering ubtly over her houlder and held out my gla to my group. “To good health and a hearty appetite.” We clanked flute . In under 13 minute , the ho te found me again and we were eated. We laughed, told torie , ordered bottle after fanta tic bottle, devoured appetizer , entree , ri otto and eventually even conducted a little bu ine . Whether or not I will ever make a re ervation here i not omething I can an wer. But becau e Perbacco ucceeded in making me look good, I can tell you there i a 100% probability that I will be taking another group here in the near future . Their ervice i uperb, the food and wine uncontended. Five tar .view less

Exceptional Northern Italian food in the Richmond Di trict of San Franci co!

Me colanza i a mall, intimate, little, neighborhood, mom-and-pop re taurant that erve Italian food located on Clement Street between 23rd and 24th Avenue . It' di creetly tucked under a mall pink awning. It' my favorite re taurant in my neighborhood and I've been goin...moreg there for 20 year ! Plea e note, parking on the Clement Street corridor i difficult (almo t a bad a North Beach) but there i a parking lot directly acro the treet from the re taurant (a Martha Stewart would ay, \"It' a good thing!\"). Thi re taurant i mall and eat only 49 patron at one time o be ure to make re ervation . My favorite appetizer are the Carpaccio and Bru chetta. The plate of Carpaccio i pre ented with extremely thinly liced beef draped on the plate. There are mall mound of caper , chopped red onion , haved Parme an chee e, and mu tard pa te. Mix all the ingredient and enjoy! The Bru chetta i toa ted french bread topped with a deliciou prinkling of chopped Roma tomatoe mixed with fre h ba il, garlic, olive oil, and ea alt. In thi day and age of almo t ta tele tomatoe (inbreeding i never a good thing), the tomatoe in thi di h are ripe, packed full of flavor, and fill your mouth with a bur t of flavor. The Pear Pizza (Yeah, I know, it ound kind of trange but darling, it' divine intervention on a plate.) You have got to try thi ! The O o Bucco wa excellent. The meat wa very tender and flavorful in it rich burgundy-like auce. I loved the vegetable and that' aying omething for a meat eater like me. The vegetable were carrot , zucchini, and yellow qua h done ju t right in that perfect combination of buttery, tender and crunchy at the ame time. We had a veal chop off the \"Special Menu\" that wa auteed in it own juice with a blend of low-cooked root vegetable urrounding it. It came with ilky, creamy ma hed potatoe that had a hint of garlic flavor and a erving of the vegetable combination I poke of earlier. Once again, excellent! We had the creme caramel, the tirami u and the chocolate flan with amaretto and cru hed amaretti cookie . The tirami u and creme caramel were a expected, deliciou . That chocolate flan wa EXCEPTIONAL! Sinfully, ilky mooth texture on a bed of cru hed cookie with the hint of amaretto flavor . While we ate all the de ert , the chocolate flan won hand down.view less

Be t Italian Food in San Franci co!

A I wa born in Italy, I wa happy to find E' Tutto Qua, a rea onably priced and friendly re taurant that really erve food ju t like I would find in Rome today. The pizza i Roman tyle with thin, cri py cru t and the pa ta are all authentically Italian in the preparatio...moren and ingredient , no hort cut here. I loved the \"Gnocchi allo Zafferano\" ~ Saffron gnocchi with zucchini, clam , tomato & white wine auce. Another favorite i the \"Tagliata di Manzo\" ~ Grilled New York teak topped with cherry tomatoe , arugola & haved parme an chee e. They have a huge election of both \"hou e-made\" and \"imported from Italy\" de ert . After the opening in June 2007 they already have a local following ju t for their fanta tic Tirami u. The wine li t feature both Italian and Californian wine and i very rea onably priced. End it all with one of their perfect e pre o or cappuccino , then go home feeling you have ju t had a \"mini-vacation\" to Italy! The ervice i attentive and helpful, the e people really eem to care about their cu tomer . Dre goe from ca ual to trendy chic look . The crowd i a nice mix of all age , nationalitie and life tyle . They are open from morning til late night. Atmo phere and location are ju t right, lively and fun dining in a hi toric old bank building with great view of the neighborhood. One intere ting point that many local have noted i that the Italian waiter from everal other re taurant in the city are een eating here on their day off. That ay a lot about the authenticity of thi place. I'm hooked!view less
