I've grown up with Walgreens.
When you mention 'drugstore' I think "Walgreens".
So when I found out I would be living close to a Walgreens I thought "Cool!"
Until I actually started doing buisness with the store on Divisadero.
I can certainly understand why the clerks would come out of the woodwork and tail me around the store.I am Black and any Blackman will tell you being tailed in a store goes with the territory ('nuff said!)
But I've been going to this store for five years now and my last time there was like my first time.
Now I only go in if I absolutly HAVE to.And then I look for alternitive(like can I do without until I can go somewhere else?
You think I'm kidding?Be a Blackman and go into that store!
I need to add that there are some really good folks that work there.
Most of the mature women that work there are friendly and will give you a smile faster than a dentist will give you a sucker. But that younger crew is off the hook!
If you want to improve the situation, acknowledge it first.
