It's wrong and not reliable at all.

Also we did not notice anytying about another bill information , but suddenly recevied such a letter.

This was the worst health care...

This was the worst health care experience I've ever had in my life. I don't even know where to begin let alone want to spend anymore time wasted on this big mistake.

Don't Go There!

Do not go to St. Luke's Hospital if you can possibly avoid it. I give the hospital 0 stars. The treatment may be adequate, but the billing department is completely screwed up. More than two years ago I had a prostate operation done there, on orders of Dr. Reginald Rector, with preliminary clearance from Dr. Mina Abazari, who was at that time my primary care physician. I am a Medicare patient and was told that the whole thing would be covered by Medicare. The hospital experience was certainly not great, but okay, at least I survived and my prostate is actually a little bit better. Not wonderful, but a little bit better.

Then a week ago, I get a bill from St. Luke's for $1134. No explanation, just a date of September, 2007.

What sort of business would send out a bill apparently for something that happened more than two years ago, with no details on what is being billed for? This bill is totally spurious, apparently just a fantasy on the part of the billing department. Apparently after getting paid by Medicare, they are now trying to collect from me as well.

Don't go to St. Luke's if you can possibly avoid it.

Overall
St. Luke's Hospital

A relative of mine was seen at St. Luke's Hospital, and the conditions have really changed. The place is not clean and I believe does not meet sanitary codes. The care from the nurses are totally unacceptable. It seems like the job duties are now segmented. So if you need food, you need one person, then if you need help regarding pain you need another person, and yet, if you need someone to give a bath or to have someone moved, you need 2 additional persons to get involved. Then if you inquire where the person is, who is supposed to help you, you are being told over and over again, that it is not their job. The nurses also, bicker amongst one another, giving the obvious impression, the system is totally unorganized and does not work. There is no ownership for patient care and service is definitely not the focus. The bottomline.....the hospital sucks!
